ASDA Bruntingthorpe Event

This topic may already be covered...

One of my contacts at my Client, ASDA has informed me that there is a massive ASDA event that they hold for charity at Brintingthorpe Airfield.

Loads of car clubs show their cars off aswell as a V-Max type feature that all can race their cars on the runway.

There are clubs from Lambo's to Dodge Vipers, and all kinds of high BHP cars on show.

The general public can also become truck drivers for a session and can drive Asda Class 1 trucks around the track.

There's also an air display and loads of other stuff going on, and if LEF does not already do anything with this event, it gives us another summer chance to meet up and show off our cars to the public at large.

Thoughts?

Looks like it could be a good meet. Fairly central location for us all, just over an hours drive for me and in the middle of summer. Would also be nice to show our true british supercars off against those other forign marques.

its HUGE isnt it, look at a vmax vid on ph video section

there is one issue though, i hear the airfield has suddenly come under some kind hippie sound issue, and restricting it now to 105db. was reading it on the viper board on ph. as they put it another viper unfriendly event. so i cant go on eithier. unless they are ok as its charity. how much just to park up etc etc.

OOOoooo

just to bump this up the board again, as a friend mentioned this event to me this week,,,,he mentioned that you can have unlimited goes, and the public just pick if they want a ride, if not you can go on the track anyhoooo, mmMMMM free track day, and if there is a fly past then the noise levels must be ok for the day

what is the insurance situation with you driving on the track with a fare paying passenger?

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.
