Hi all!

I have a very simple question regarding the cooling system, I must to replace the radiator and fans because destroyed so there are some kind of replacement for esprit s2 radiator and fans (maybe from old ford?) or not?

on my s2 there is an inclined radiator

Hi Massimo,

I think the radiator is unique to the S2 so you will need one form a lotus specialist unless your current one can be rebuilt. The fans/motors you could probably use from something else but if you're getting a new rad then you might as well get the new fans from the same place so you don't ahve to worry about trying to get them to fit the rad cowling.

Hi Pete! Thank you for the information, ok I have an order open with SJ so it is a good choice to' add also a complete front cooling

System, It is the 4th or 5th order that I have done to Sj due a complete mechanical restoring of my car, a very big restore...anything is new now , engine, gearbox, brake system, clutch, and also the cooling system now...

Hi Massimo,

I'm sure the radiator is "borrowed" from another car, as is a lot on the car, but the mountings are unique to the Esprit.

I'm doing a cheap refurb of my radiator and have had to make a new section as well as order another replacement section from SJ. I'm wishing I had just replaced the whole thing with a shiny new radiator from SJ instead.

The point is, the radiator is held by 2 bolts on the body and supported with 2 on the bottom cowl. They need to be very strong as a full radiator with fans is heavy!

I'll put a full review on the forum when I've done if you want to see how I managed.
