How to best jack and support the REAR end (V8 model) ?

I need to raise and support the rear of my V8, and I'm not sure where the best (safe) points are to jack and support (can't use the factory points because the tangs are in the way of course for anything other than OEM screw jack). What methods / equipment are you guys using to jack-up and support the REAR end of your Esprits?

It looks like there are all kinds of nifty tools and tricks (flat-top stands, helper bars, lifting / supporting kits) available for lifting the Elise / Exige ---- but, is there anything out there made for the Esprit?

I use my Kwiklift and drive it up, but when I need to - I jack mine up using a floor jack under the rear main hoop of the engine cradle. Then throw ramps under each rear wheel.

You should not let the rear suspension hang under it's own weight for very long, it tends to buckle the shaft seals, causing them to start leaking over time.

Make some timber blocks with a cut-off saw. With a half depth slot for the tangs place them on your hydraulic jack pad. I keep a set in the boot in case I end up needing to use them when away from home.
