Need help identifying a Part!

Hi all!

So I'm buying some bits for my 91MY Esprit SE and am going absolutely insane trying to identify the name of the part in the below image. I've looked through the parts list time and time again, both SE and S4 lists just in case, but to no avail.

Does anyone know what the little spring loaded component in the center of the image is called and where I can find a replacement? I only have it on the one side at the moment. Furthermore, there's a sensor attached to it on the inside end of the trunk - what is its purpose?

It is not a standard part, it appears to be an aftermarket alarm switch.

It looks like an alarm door/ boot sensor, if so it should have an earth to the body of it (it would normally earth via the car body) and a wire to the centre piece which makes contact with the body of the switch/sensor when the boot is opened allowing the plunger in the centre to extend outwards.

If the above is true then look for alarm switch/ sensor.

That explains it. One of the previous owners had a Clifford alarm system installed on my car so this must be part of it.
