S4S 19 inch front wheels Rubbing

Hello everyone

Hope you all are having a great summer

A while back I posted that I was getting 19 inch HRE wheels all round and a few good men posted me back with pics of present owners with 19inch wheels on fronts.

Now that I finally put them on I have Rubbing on the inside front and inside back.

This is for the guys who did place 19inch front wheels on their cars with success

Guys what mods did you have to do inside your wheel well

mine are 19 inch by 9 with 225 35 19 mich super sport

I can't directly help you, but have been looking to move away from 15" rims on my s3.

Here is a link to a site that helped me. It allows you to experiment with offset/rim size.

Hey Chris, happen to know the offset on the front rims, makes a difference it fitment.

Try dropping Dave Freeman a PM, he may be away form home a lot but he's more likely to see a PM than a topic. He had issues of them catching but only after having fitted uprated discs.

I moved this post to the Stevens section since this is an S4s.

BTW, the standard size wheels for a UK S4s were 235/40-17on a 17"x8.5" wheel (diameter of 620mm or 24.4" ) , and the USA S4s was 215/40-17 (diameter of 604mm or 23.8") on a 17"x7" wheel.

Your wheels are 225/35-19, so your diameter is 640mm or 25.2".

You didn't mention what offset your wheels are, but I would guess that the offset plus the larger diameter is probably causing your rubbing...
