Hi folks,

 

Sorry to to have kept in touch.

 

It's actually been a really bad year for us both.

 

Evi's mum, who we were both very close to, died earlier this year from cancer.

 

I lost my job, and although I was eventually able to find another job, I was unemployed for several months, the job I now have is only seasonal, and I've taken a massive income cut. The job market really is as tough as they say!

 

On top of all this, our lovely baby has put itself off the road, and needs the engine pulling out - work in progress.

 

Unfortunately, I forgot about the TLF Christmas party last year, but we are really looking forward to meeting our old Lotus loving friends again next Saturday.

 

Can you please put us down for 2 meals, as follows:-

 

1 x Pate and marmalade

1 x Avocado prawn cocktail

2 x Roast Turkey traditional Christmas dinner

1 x Christmas Pudding

1 x Chocolate Fudge Cake

Unfortunately having spoken with MJK at length today he's unable to make our dinner this Saturday due to the surgery on his foot. It's not all gone according to plan and he's confined to his bed for the next 6 weeks. Very sorry for any disappointment, those (3) of you who donated towards his meal/room will be refunded of course.

 

What we are happy to do this year is a Q&A with Mike, so please post any questions you may have had for him below and I'll get answers for you and perhaps read some out or pass then on after the meal. He was happy to Skype us and 'virtually' be there but his PC is downstairs and out of bounds at present!

   I just want to say that the past two years' Christmas parties were beyond great, some of the best times I've had, and I will miss you all this weekend.  Have a great time and a great Christmas, and be sure to post some pictures of whatever hilarity ensues!

A couple of technical issues...

 

1) I've totally forgot, ignored, or probably never saw the plea to send dosh up front, BUT.... we ARE coming!!!! Hope the Mrs's veggie fayre is a goer! 

 

2) 7.30 meet...what time kick off? We've got to drop the brood off on the way, i.e. the opposite direction... expecting the usual phaff.  

 

3) Looking forward to seeing you all there!!!!!
