We spent a few days in Yosemite on our US road trip 2 weeks ago and attended an evening lecture in the village by the guy who produces Yosemite Nature Notes. He had just completed a 3 year project on the night skies. We were blown away by the time lapse images and of course when we walked outside, it was there to see in all its glory. Until I sat in the middle of a field in Yellowstone last week I had never seen so many stars.
