P51-D Mustang

At least I think it was.

I happened to be outside and hear a low-flying aircraft, it carried the bullseye markings on the underside of the wings and I think it was the P51-D based upon the silhouette. This was around 13:30 today near Norwich-- I can hear whatever it is still flying around here as I type this.

Some of the guys from the factory took us to the old RAF Hardwick field to check out 2 P51D's based there (may have been what you saw).  They have a sort of open day at Hardwick every now and then, well worth checking out - http://www.hardwickwarbirds.com
