Anyone have experience with these rotors?

Recommended Posts

I upgraded to dimpled/slotted rotors years ago when I previously owned my S4 but almost 10 years later and there is some gouging in one of the rear rotors and the front will probably need replacing before too long as well.

Anyone have any info on these rotors?

Otherwise, any suggestions on a good place to buy in the US?

Thanks

the 'ol Kangaroo paw!!!!  what a joke...

try AP (you'll pay a lot higher than 117 for those even though they are one piece castings)  Or spend A Lot more (a la $750ea-900 front only) and retrofit them to your existing setup...  There are several options out there in two piece (not wilwood please) and they will last a lot longer as well some are blachard ground.  BTW no need for the holes anymore when you buy a quality outgased pad...

If the only thing constant is change, then why do we resist change the most?

If your braking performance is limited by dust then slotted is a good option, if it's limited by lack of airflow causing heat build-up then drilled is a good option. If braking is not limited by either or both of these then the better performance is by solid discs which give a greater pad-disc contact surface.

Well I actually found the front rotors in stock at a good price (free shipping too) here, http://thmotorsports.com/ but am having a hard time finding drilled/slotted rear rotors in the US. europerformance had some but the shipping is killer (plus the vat stayed included even though I selected the US as destination).

Anyone have any other suggestions for rear slotted/drilled in stock in the US?

I will call the usual places tomorrow (JAE etc).

Thanks
