Funniest films?

Have to agree with most of the above list, Big python fan, love Steve Martin's earlier stuff. I'm a bit surprised that Peter Sellers gets so few mentions, what about the hilarious "Mouse that roared" and "The Fiendish plot of Dr Fu Manchu"

Me,Myself and Irene.One of my daughters favorites.A little more innocent but i myself liked the old English movies i.e On The Buses,any film by Norman Wisdom and also still laugh at the comedy timings of Laurel and Hardy.

Mike Myers has been mentioned a couple of times with "So I married An Axe Murderer" Absolutely top movie.

Also I tend to like gentle comedies of the style of Local Hero, or Restless Natives. Not belly laugh, but subtle.

However if you want one liners, then surely take your pick with the carry on films. Purile - Yes. Crap and out of date - Yes. But can you not smile when you read

"I want to be wooed" "Well you can be as wooed with me as you like"

Jez - You NEEED to check out www.the-breakfast-club.com as theyre showing The Princess Bride at the moment I love that film it's utterly superb One of the best princes / giants / sword fights films ever made
