Help,binnacle off,can't get speedo out.Help needed

Topic says it all,Speedo jumping all over the shop.I have read how to get the binnacle off,that was really helpful,undone the speedo cable and bracket.I assume that that speedo body pushes through.At the moment it will not budge.Has anybody removed a speedo this way ??Thanks Paul G..

Sussed it,just lube the rubber surround and it pops out.

Have you checked the rear speedo section as they wear where the two parts of the cable join

speedo in f22ked ,I turn it by hand and it sticks on 170 mph

Probably the magnet inside speedo is loose.

Buggered magnet sounds right.  I had the same issue removing mine - it was welded in (rubber had fused to the frame.  Persistence paid off in the end.  I put a full speedo disassemble thread on here - somewhere, with pics.  May help.  Just need to do a search.
