Ive resealed 2 gearbox rear plates with blue hylomar successfully. Oil is Castrol Syntrans Transaxle.

I have not re-done this yet but I am sure it would be OK with the Permatex or probably Hylomar would also be fine.

It also struck me that my tube of Loctite 518 might be life expired, this might be the cause of the problems.
