Hi Any one any idea how much current 1 x cooling fan draws? Need to sort out the cables in the area and need to repair a bodge that ive found. Would like to replace with correct size and correct coloured cable to each fan. Thanks for any advice

Well, took the four bolts out today. 1 sheared so was a bit of a pain but now out ok. Diaphragm is absolutely fine. Valve was stiff. Freed up with WD40 very easily. Will clean up some more and really ensure its totally free moving. Ordered 4 new bolts and will reassemble. Just conscious in my view the job is not complete as have not removed it completely. Will put that on the job list for the future. What is important it will be now safe to drive from an overboost point of view. One question is what sort of sealant is used on the joints during reassembly. Something had been used previously. Assuming it was done correctly, and should the shaft have any typr of lubricant applied that will tolerate the heat? Thanks

Hi, I have a suspect stuck wastegate. Access to the 2 nuts is limited. Does anyone have any suggestions on removing the unit with out stripping the exhaust system? Man thanks for any advice.

Headlights still playing up. If main beam is on the pods go up and down perfectly. When they are down the lights stay on though. To me this suggests micro switches in the motors are ok. On hunt now for diodes in the circuit. Reliably informed this morning that are within the loom behind L/H pod. A challenge for Wednesday evening........ to find it/them

Well they are working as they should but have gone into constant up and down then seems ok. Not sure the reason but am getting there. Thanks drdoom

Thanks for this. Bit scared to connect the pods due to potential damage. From your info maybe by connecting should be ok. All I’ve done is disconnect and refurbish the headlight pods so no reason anything should have changed. I’ll try over the weekend. Thank you

If my headlamp pods are disconnected from the motor and I switch the headlights on my motors just run constantly. Surely there is an internal micro switch to only allow enough movement to raise and lower the pods if connected. Thanks for any advice around this.

Hi. Just wondering if anyone down in the Portsmouth area would be able to offer me safe and reasonably secure parking for a car and car trailer in early September. Taking my Esprit with Bond Skis over to IOW and don’t really want to drive from Suffolk and back. Idea is to drive last few miles and then be in the IOW for the Ryde show and back on the Monday. Hi Anyone know where I can get an elasticated strap to replace the perished jack securing straps. I know I can buy complete straps from SJ Sportscars but for a total of over £60 as it comes with all the clips. Seems mad when all the clips are fine and just want to replace the strap. Thanks for any advice

Hi. Have started to repair my engine cover. New clips, seals, foil etc. will also repaint. Can anyone advise re type of paint I should be using. I’m assuming I need to be a bit careful due to the heat. Thanks for any advice or experience.

Laika Thanks for that. What do you mean by glass runners. Are these not all part of the complete frame? I assume the brush is the strip that pushes inside the frame the galss runs in?

Hi My car will be SORN today for the winter. One of the jobs to tackle is rattly and vibrating doors internally, improve side window up and down etc. Has anyone put any sound proofing in their doors of any kind that maybe has helped make the door sound a little more solid. Off to the NEC in Birmingham in November for the Classic car show so any advice on what to look out for if there is a product people have used successfully would be greatly appreciated.
