Elise S2 111s Idle speed too High!

Recommended Posts

My 03 reg 111s  has started idling too high at approx 1300rpm occasionally the
MIL/CEL light comes on but not all the time. When first starting from cold the engine will settle down to a normal idle but when hot the engine idles at 1300 rpm slightly fluctuating.
Can anyone help?

Cheers Mike

I think mines too high @900rpm, but if your's is irregular, I'd start by looking for an induction air leak.

OK, yes mine will tick over at 900rpm quite happily, but it takes too long to get down there, down to about 1200 fine but then very slowly down to 900. I know this is the way engine management systems handle things these days but I don't like it.

When I come off the throttle I want it to snap shut NOW! Any ideas how I adjust this, the throttle body butterfly is adjusted out as far as possible.
