Espritmon Baud Rate Adjustment

I've been reading the Espritmon manual on how to modify the baud rate, but can't find the registry entry on my computer.

 

The example in the manual is as follows:

 

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Ser2p1]

 

I activated regedit to look for the key, but can't find Ser2p1.

 

The closest I have is "Serial" and "sbp2port", but I don't know if these are related to the port.

 

The adaptor is made by MCT and the driver is known as U232 P9/P25 Ver2.60

It's a letter "l" at the end of "Ser2pl" rather than a number "1".

 

You may not find this entry in your registry as your pc may not using the Prolific USB adapter driver.

I found an entry which seems to be the one ("U2SP"). P stands for Philips, the manufacturer of the chip.

 

I see a number of file types

 

ab (Default) Reg_SZ..... (value not set)

ab DisplayName REG_SZ...... USB to Serial Converter Driver (Philips)

011/110 Error Control REG_DWORD..... 0x00000001 (1)

ab ImagePath REG_EXPAND_SZ ....system32\DRIVERS\u2s2xp.sys

011/100 Start REG_DWORD..... 0x0000003 (3)

011/100 Type REG_DWORD.... 0x0000001 (1)

 

I'm not sure how to add the comments mentioned in the Espritmon manual and to which file:

 

"ExtBaudrate"="8200,2147485879"

 

Do I include the inverted commas and type this on one line?

At a guess mate, you would need to create a new string (SZ) entry, name  ExtBaudrate and value the part after the = sign

Thanks, but I'm well out of my comfort zone regarding this. It would probably be safer to contact the writer of the manual.
