LEO Track Day (NJ, USA) 7/4/2005

For the second year, the Lotus Enthusiast's Organization (NJ/NYC Area) is holding a track day with a difference. For this outing we will be using some VERY fast go karts, instead of our own cars!

We have had a couple cancellations so we are notifying these Lists in case anyone can join us. WE NEED TWO MORE PEOPLE (plus, guests are welcomed!).

The outing is on Monday, July Fourth at Oakland Valley Race Park near Port Jervis, NY (right near the upper left-hand corner of NJ, USA). Cost is about $300 which includes lunch for two, karts, gas, driver instruction, you name it...everything is included, "Soup to Nuts". Wheel to wheel racing, NOT just lapping a track...heh heh, it doesn't get any better.

Here's what we'll be doing:

8:30 - 8:45 Arrive

9:00 - 10:00 driver's meeting, fit karts with foam seat padding, get any necessary equipment, karting techniques and track walk around with Mike the head Instructor.

10:00 - 10:45 Timed practice

11:00 - 12:00 Three 7 minute races one 15 minute race, and what ever length race completes the hour

12:00 - 1:00 Lunch

1:00 - 2:00 Two 25 minute races

2:00 - 3:00 1-hour 2 main Enduro with 5 required driver changes. (if we get a 12th person)

3:00 - Consumption of self supplied adult beverages (your option)

Wow! I just looked at the pics and video and hav to say that looks like one hck of a good time. Boy I wish I could make it out to that on. It would be great to visit back in the ole stompin grounds of N.J. and see evryone from LOG again.

Can't do unfortunately so I will be looking forward to the next rendition of LEO goes Karting.
