Paid £250 last year at Churchill, thought I would try AIB insurance, over £700. ouch!

Any fellow LF1 owners kind enough to post what they are paying?

On the comparison sites, I am getting prices from £280 upwards, so it would be helpful if I could see who everyone else is going through and what they are paying.

Thanks in advance.

I would appreciate if any Lotus Exige V6 owner could post what they pay each year. Thanks.

  • 2 weeks later...

I was quoted £700 by AIB for my Evora NA (no NCB as an additional car). I'm hoping it will be a lot less in a few weeks when the new quote for this year comes in but I suspect £700 may be what the AIB machine says....

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

Thanks lads, doubt I will do any track days this year so settled for just under £280 for annual mileage of £5000 or less, full NCB etc.

Is that agreed value?

I get a replacement car if my car is under 12 months old, said car was worth around £59,995.

After that it would be market value.

Will see next year about insuring it for an agreed value for the entire year.

We were with OneAnswer originally - was very pleased with them. The problem we had was that their 4k miles includes track use... so a couple of trips to Spa and you've had it. All other insurance companies I have come across exclude track use in their annual mileage.

We are now with Henderson Taylor. The car is insured on the drive as well as in a garage. Agreed value at £54k, unlimited track days (and therefore mileage) < £1200 (the driveway makes a difference). Best part though - no tracker!!!

We have 3 cars with them now, ease of communication a big part for us. No queues, no big questionnaires, no worry when the time comes to claim about a potential "it's not just any old V6 Exige".
