@NW76 @550superfast Great advertising for KT EX 460...... just look at the ranking in the accompanying comments....... I wonder how the SSC TVS 1900, V6 Cup, 360 Cup, Sport 380 and 380 Cup would compare ???? But good advertising for Komo Tec.... Congratulations

If you look at the other times posted by some pretty serious machinery around this lap it makes a 350 sport and a EX460 conversion look like the bargain of the century!

Courtesy of AMS site . While its great to see the conversion doing well and certainly I'd say worth the upgrade, the times also demonstrate what a few of us have been saying when looking at latest model Hethel times, in that you need major increases in one of the dynamics to make significant strides in laptimes, and thats why after a while the increases claimed tend to dwindle away. Certainly if I had an 'older' V6 model this ( or the TVS) conversion would make a lot of sense as long as you're up for the obvious component risk issues. Have to say tho, the KomoTec Atom, W.T.F must that be like !

1. Komo-Tec Ariel Atom – 01:42:76 min
2. McLaren 570S – 01:45:04 min

5. Lamborghini Huracán – 01:47:31 min
6. Porsche 911 GT3 – 01:48:28 min
7. Komo-Tec Lotus Exige EX460 – 01:48:79 min +++++++++++++
8. Nissan GT-R – 01:49:10 min
9. Mercedes-AMG GT S – 01:49:22 min
10. AC Schnitzer ACL2 – 01:49:81 min

Yesssss, pretty amazing and nice to see the potential of this car..... thumbs up to KT.... so now Lotus you know what a few guys in Germany can do with this car.... so ..... Manthey Racing nearby was purchased by Porsche which took a majority stake after having recognized the professionalism of the work done by Olaf Manthey on Porsches..... maybe in a few years time....

460 is easily achievable with the TVS upgrade. I'm about to fit 2bular headers in the next couple of weeks. After this I'll be going for a RR mapping session, either using a custom EMU or live mapping the Lotus unit. I believe figures approaching 470-490 are within reach although I will be tuning down from this slightly.

I'll update the thread with progress.

There are pros and cons for both upgrade routes. I am more than happy with the SSC kit.

@toshers Have you had the headers fitted? Are these the new ones for TVS1900 from Jim? Did he use your car for development?

Seen different power numbers being banded around for the TVS1900, but has anyone come up with final numbers to compare to the EX460 ?

How are you going to compare to ex460? Have you seen any independent numbers for ex460?

Nothing independent , but I would like to think Hangar 111 would stand up to the 458bhp quoted on their website.

Great footage Gary! Fascinating to see the difference in your driving between following and "leading". The first half sees you turning in early to almost every corner, a common psychological effect, like early braking where you see the other guy doing it and you naturally feel wrong waiting to do it yourself. Once you're past him, all that goes away and you're right on it. I'd occasionally noticed myself do it, but hadn't seen it so strikingly shown in video.

Both cars are going great. Lots of fun I'm sure

What's wrong with 2bular manifolds?

God doesn't want me, and the Devil isn't finished with me yet.

The small print.

My comments and observations are my own, invariably "tongue in cheek", and definitely, sarcastic in nature. Therefore, do not take my advice, suggestions, observations or posts seriously or personally and remember if you do, do anything, that I may have suggested, then you have done this based solely on your own decision to do so and therefore you acknowledge responsibility and accountability (I know, in this modern world these are the hardest things for you to accept) for your actions and indemnify me of any influence, responsibility, accountability, or liability, in what you have done. In other words, you did it, so suffer the consequences on your own!

Lapping with an EX460 car in my SSC TVS1900 V6 Cup. Two different upgrade routes, similar speeds, but most of all two lotus cars on track together having fun.

That's Duncan in Blinkys old car. Full KT460, Ohlins, Genuine CupR aero and more.

Any body got any updates when SSC exhaust manifolds are going to be released so we can add it to the tvs1900 mod ?

About 2 months ago Stuart from SSC told me it would take another 3 months for having the production sample made, approved and a bigger batch made.
