Hi I am a newbie. 

My dad in the early 1960s had a cortina. It was sold as a lotus cortina with the shiny spoke wheels. The thing is my dad's cortina was green all over not just a green stripe. It was a lovely car. My question is would it have been an authentic lotus cortina or was he conned. My husband says they were an off white cream colour with a green stripe. My dad's car had the shape thing where the green blaze goes but was a lovely darkish green shade all over. Can anyone on here please advise me  would it have been genuine or was he ripped off? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to TLF Ann. I thought all the Lotus Cortinas had the Lotus roundel on them?

Hi Ann, 

Thr car could have been painted even being so young. If you have the registration number your could HPI it or contact the Cortina register. They were normally off white with a green stripe. I have seen mk2’s in different colours. I am sure a Cortina officiando will be along soon to maybe give more detail
