I use SurfShark. It’s been very good thus far for watching U.K. TV programmes abroad.

I shall watch with interest!

Permabond A136 is the Lotus recommended sealant for the cam cover and housing. Not cheap, but it works.

For info, I have run an Alunox manifold for 30,000 miles now. My turbocharger has not fallen off, nor is it showing any signs of doing so.

Not before you’d bought a motor home, surely?

Clearly, an opening for TLF’s very own ‘A’ Team member - @C8RKH.

I’ve got a set of original Lotus front dampers and springs, and a set of Gaz adjustable rears with original Lotus springs that I removed from my S4s. But they would have to go as a package.

This is not uncommon.
I live in a cul-de-sac with 11 houses. It’s an old, narrow road. Everyone knows each other, and everyone has enough off-road space for two cars.
But the only thing anyone gets arsey about is parking. That’s it, nothing else. And it’s always the same two thoughtless, entitled, wankers who cock it up.

Blimey. I would imagine that the “glamour” of F1 would soon wear thin living in those houses, when faced with the reality of repeated traffic gridlock, filthy weather, year-round noise and thousands of sweaty fans swarming around most weekends. I suppose you could clear off on holiday and rent them out each GP week: that would probably pay your mortgage for a year.
Add having to watch Max trash the competition each British Grand Prix, and that should put paid to it. -
Astonishing, isn’t it?
I see it every day, a multitude of people in the U.K. posting on Facebook, telling all and sundry what a shithole this country is, how bad the NHS is, how the Tory government has completely ruined everything, how the price of a Latte at Starbucks has shot up these days, and can’t understand the morons who voted for Brexit, yet their message doesn’t seem to have reached the droves of economic migrants, all of whom appear to have mobile phones.

My Ford Focus has a Collision Alert function that flashes up a warning on the dash. More than once I’ve been distracted by it and paid it more attention than looking through the windscreen.
IMO it’s more likely to cause an accident than prevent one.

So after doing a few routine bits and pieces on my 1998 GT3 it decided not to fire-up for me. Cranks but no spark, fuel pump heard to run ok so I've ruled out fuel problem for now.. Concerned that I had disturbed something, but I have visually gone over everything and can see nothing obvious. The sudden failure may just be coincidental.
No Fault Codes on FreeScan but interestingly no RPM reading during crank so I suspected Crank Sensor. However, after bench testing the sensor, and checking sensor wiring back to the Ignition Module, I can get c. 2 volts a/c at the ignition module, so it must be something between the Ignition Module and the ECM ?
When I exposed the ECM Module to see if anything obvious I found one of the mounting bolts to have dislodged itself, leaving the module loose, so wondering whether it has had some vibration damage going on ?
Any ideas anyone ?
Have you got the Lotus Service Notes for your car? They contain numerous fault-finding flowcharts which may well assist you in pinning down your problem. -
Another very entertaining video, George.
“Martini Green”. Presumably, such paint has to be shaken, not stirred?

I’ve not yet had that dubious pleasure, but from what you’re saying, it’s possible that DVLA is populated by failed HMRC employees.

HMRC is without doubt the worst government department I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. And that’s when they actually do answer the phone. These days, I write them a letter, as it’s just about as quick to get a response.

In addition, the breather connector is normally at the top of an engine because condensation rises. In this case the inlet cam cover is the highest point and thus is ideal for the purpose. -

Good grief!
What started off as a C-Service is now turning into a full-on Six Million Dollar Man restoration project.
It’s not all bad news, but as it’s NHS-funded he’ll only be able to ”run” at about 3 mph for about 100 yards although this should at least allow him to keep up with the local traffic flow. He’ll soon be able to read a curry house menu from 2 feet away, and the multiple colorectal incursions mean he should be comfortably inside Mayor Kahn’’s emissions levels for Greater London without having to pay the ULEZ charge.

Alunox what are the chances?

I’d call it a design flaw. But with the right coolant fittings, it works fine.
