  1. PS It wasnt me that raced, I just copied that text from the person that posted in the facebook group
  2. At the 70th, with the factory open to the public, there were no signs thyat I saw saying not to take photos, and people were snapping away. I did a walk through the whole factory with my 360 degree camera, but the memory card got corrupted 😭
  3. From the v6 owners group on fb: As the driver of the 350 sport in that Drag race there are a few factors to bear in mind. It was my first ever drag race and yes I missed a gear on the second run so completely fluffed that one and probably was short shifting although i did hit rev limiter. The 4C driven by the host who is obviously familiar with the format etc has a paddle shift and is 200kg lighter. The M2 was driven by the tame racing driver there for the day. I didn’t use race mode or launch control (not recommended by Lotus apparently even if I knew how to do it!) neither did i do any drifting to warm up the tyres as a pretty well brand new car (I’ve had it since early Sept) I wasn’t keen to ruin a set of tyres just for a few seconds fun. I do feel I didn’t do the car justice and with some tuition could improve but there is a fundamental weakness with the manual shift even though it is better than my previous S2 Exiges were.
  4. Its also that the ppf is so much more thicker and soft, so it absorbs the stone shock.
  5. They serve different purposes. Ppf is to stop stone chips. Ceramic is to seal in the paint, make it glassy and smooth and easy to clean, but it wont stop stones. So I had ppf where I wanted it, then ceramic after, including over the ppf I believe. I was told ppf first, otherwise it doesnt stick properly to the ceramic.
  6. I did a bit of a colour correct myself and glitzy thumbnail 🤓
  7. My 380 Cup getting its ceramic treatment Look Andy up if you need any detailing!
  8. My 350 had a screen under warranty for this. I cant find a blasted photo though.
  9. Bump on ‘ventgate’ Mine are the closed off style (you cant slide your hand in to them like a letterbox), but I notice they do keep collecting little stones on top of the grey plastic. Even on a six mile round trip in 30/40mph zones I had small stones when I got home. The 380 Cup manual shows where air is meant to escape and the arrows on the diagram are EXACTLY where air can escape on the closed style vents I have. The front one, on the outer edge of the vent, I have been able to poke a single finger up through a gap and met my finger with my other hand under the wheel arech. The smaller vent has one small circular hole drilled where the arrow in the diagram indicates air flow. So they do work, especially the small stones Im seeing even on a slow drive, just probably not as well as the fully opened ones I have seen on some cars. The rear vents in the rear bumper also dont look directly on to the tyres, but further up the wheel well I have some circular holes drilled to let some air out. So the rear airflow will be more like this:
  10. I would be suprised if it is wrap as it is all one piece. The wrapper said wrapping in one piece isnt possible. We did three, one for each vertical and then one long piece along the bottom. From the factory mine also has the matte ‘paint’ on the underside of the top of the two side vents, so it would be a huge challenge to wrap like that.
  11. Sorry, I didnt fact check 😬
  12. Never had a problem with mine. Nice buy! http://www.bossreg.com/news/139/rules-on-uk-number-plates-to-be-relaxed.html
  13. Oh, it looked like the matte paint. On deroure they only have a mask listed, but decals for the headlights, so assumed it was the matte paint.
  14. EX16GEN is no longer listed on the site, I guess you went for it!?
  15. It’s on my replacement exige already, sorry 😛 EX16 EEN and EX16 EEX are still available! the ‘N’ would be perfect for you Nick!!! Also available:
  16. Wow, that sold quickly! It was my old one. History wise, nothing to report really! Bought from Jamie, enjoyed it, never tracked it, always garaged. Fitted a 2bular and just had an awesome time in it! Hipefully the enjoyment continues for you 👍🏼
  17. Welcome! Im on my second V6 and they have both equally rattled at idle without the clutch pedal depressed, if that is the sound you are describing. If so, it really is a ‘they all do that sir’.
  18. We did it without putting it on the scissor, I managed to scare him off the idea with the potential damage! What an amazing result, the wrap matches exactly the matt black paint used from the factory. This is mid way through the job, try and spot what part is the wrap and what part is still the factory paint to be wrapped:
  19. The wrapping guy said he would like to lift the whole car to make it easier to do, but Im just going to insist he uses my ramps (same as you have) and get on the floor. Not worth the risk I think!
  20. Hi Im getting the front of mine wrapped a little tomorrow. The guy is planning on putting it on a scissor lift to help. Is this safe for our cars? Mine has the carbon barge boards on the side as well. Worried about damage and may just insist he uses my low level ramps to get the front up a bit. Also, what low level jacks do people have for their cars? Just this standard sort of style? They reach far enough under? https://www.sgs-engineering.com/garage-equipment/trolley-jacks/tj2-5lp-low-profile-garage-trolley-jack Thanks
  21. You might want to order some m8 25mm from them for the tow strut at the same time. The factory ones rusted on my 350 and I didnt even use it in the wet! I just got some but havent tried them yet, according to deroure they are the correct size.
