  1. Phew!....just caught it on +1 ?
  2. Totally agree. The gold still looks good but has to be the 'bond spec' on a white car for me. A spare set of Compomotives is way off for me. Just one complete set would be a good start.
  3. Took me years to gather enough parts to make a set. Still ideally need 2 more centres so I can fit the earliest style fronts. Am working on that one! Will be a relief when they are finished. I too can then worry about the sealing issues ?
  4. Good work! They really set the car off. Looking forward to getting mine done when my Compomotives have been refurbished. Just bought some P600's for the rears. Not sure what to go for at the front. Richard
  5. Hi Stephen I fitted a brand new one 10 yrs ago and it hasn't turned a wheel in all that time so it should be ok....I hope. I would consider getting a spare but there is a heap of parts I definitely do need first! Richard
  6. Wouldn't mind a set myself now that my restoration is underway :-)
  7. Jonny Did you have to replace the spacers on the rear suspension setup? The parts list shows the Compomotive setup spacer as being a different part. Would be easy to make them...if I knew the size of them. I'm guessing the only difference would be in length? Richard
  8. Looks stunning. The perfect looking Esprit. Even though Compomotives were originally anodised I actually prefer the polished look! Nothing wrong with a little bit of bling if tastefully done. I've even considered having the lower links chromed...or is that a step too far?
  9. I'm hoping to get to Brands and would love to see it close up if you go. Seeing that pic is like looking into my future hopefully. Have you got the Burglar Protected stickers on it?
  10. Jonny Loving the photos. Up till now the only photos of an Esprit I've seen in that spec is the Bond one, so I have had to imagine what my car will look like from other angles in this spec. Now I can look at your photos and hopefully one day I park an identical car next to it. Glad you stuck with the red interior too. I'm not a fan or the brown/tobacco colour so that's my only concession to getting the right look. As you say...the red leather is just like sitting in an Essex...so best of both worlds.
  11. Jonny Congratulations on your superb FYEO Esprit. You've beaten me to it! I have an 82 Turbo in white with red stripes and red interior and for years have been collecting the parts required for 007 spec. I have a set of Compomotives and the required radius arms and upper/ lower links and hubs. I also have a boxed Panasonic roof stereo. Just the minor issue of a full nut/bolt restoration before I can fit these parts. The photos of your Esprit are very inspiring. Cheers Richard
