  1. Ref the 2bular track I don't think that mass production of the add ons is far off now
  2. Oki Coki. is development on hold now for winter or are you still at it? when they are finished do you have any idea of what these are going to cost? Ta
  3. Look good Dave. Any idea on costs yet? i don't mean to hijack thread but what's latest on your suspension mods?
  4. What geo settings did you end up with please? primarily interested in the camber. Im due a new geo soon currently have -0.75 degs in front and -1.5 degs in rear and trying to decide how much more aggressive I should be. cheers
  5. How about a used Cup then? Are you only interested in new?
  6. What camber are you running please? Is it right you need -1.5 degrees to make the split compound on the Cup 2s work?
  7. Oh well in that case fu(k it ha ha Agreed and fitting a 2bular track system was best thing I have done since buying the V6, absolutely fantastic sound. It still doesn't sound as good as a 355 though as my friend loves to demonstrate whenever we are away on road trips
  8. Maybe I will change my mind when I drive a GT3. For me the allure of a 9k redline just seems very very appealing.
  9. F430... buy a manual (last v8 manual Ferrari ever) and appreciation will likely cover running costs and then some. GT3... I say this personally as that is my ultimate car (this side of reality for me after a 675 LT). I bought an Exige v6 as I see it as a stepping stone towards that goal. Dont get me wrong I LOVE the lotus brand. I have had 3 and loved all of them. But.... on a European road trip earlier this year I jumped into my mates Cayman GTS and yes it's slower but I can understand why people would choose that over the lotus (each to their own). My thinking is I wouldn't change mine until they put the chargecooled engine in the Exige but by that point it's probably going to be knocking on £80k car? Equally my original comment was based on person X having enough money to blindly think Yes / No to options without thinking of cost. What's are used Radicals / Ultimas going for. I just fear lotus may end up pushing the price too far for the majority of people who buy them.
  10. If I was one of those buyers I would be a 991 GT3 which is the obvious rival for this car.
  11. I really really like the look of the 380 but the premium to change over a 2014 Exige S is just a bit too high for me. If / When they get round to putting the chargecooled engine in it and I can get one 6 months old that's when il have to restart the justification process with my wife. I think a 410 / 430 Komotec kit on an Exige S would be as quick or quicker than the 380 so for anyone who just wants the performance you can achieve it for a lot less than price of buying a new 380 Has anyone seen the geo setup for the 380? I was reliable told by Michelin you need at least 1.5 degs of camber to make the Cup 2's work
  12. Do I presume correctly that the Sport 380 has same manifolds as earlier Exiges. .... and also Evora 410 has same manifold?
  13. Komotec change the pulleys on their kits and it's a generic charger so can't see it being too hard to swap pulley. Also my boot and two rubber lander things one on each side. Does yours not?
  14. I'm hoping Komotec/H111 can offer a pulley & remap EX380 before too long. The only thing that seems to be different engine wise is different back box but presumably manifolds same. Given a lot of people already running different back boxes I can only assume that would be prerequisite to a pulley/map upgrade. I already emailed lotus asking if they were going to offer an update kit and they don't currently plan to but presumably the more people that email the more likely it will happen.
  15. Why Not just record a video and put it on YouTube or get one of the many youtubers with hundreds of thousands followers to go in and do it for them for free. That video is embarrassing. They would have been better posting a picture with a LapTime. Come on Lotus I do hope they can offer the engine upgrade on older models. Anyone emailed lotus yet?
  16. Interesting they went with Cup 2's aswell rather than trofeo R. Must mean they are running at least -1.5 camber as required to make the Cup 2's work. I asked Michelin this directly when considering switching tyres a while back. Overall that is one hell of a car mind. Presumably this is opening the doors to run a smaller pulley on an older Exige S or Sport too? given manifolds must still be same as they come from Toyota with the block?
  17. +1 for 2bular. But be prepared for an excitement building "phase" before arrival
  18. Looks like a decent option. Be good if you could do a little "How-To" when you get one Imran. I think I could stomach about £300. Postage shouldn't be too bad either at that weight. Be good to get an idea how long it would last without being on trickle charger. Aslong as it lasted 3-4 days that would do me ?
  19. Ha ha. It is a very impressive weight saving like. At least with the wheels you can see where your money has gone. If I told my friends, even the petrol heads I had spent £1000 on a battery I don't know if I could ever live it down
  20. That's a very impressive solution. It's a shame the battery is so eye wateringly expensive. You got any development batteries Dave you want to sell at 90% discount ha ha
  21. someone who knows what they are on about correct me if I am wrong but....... if you want to reduce understeer then you don't want to be increasing rear tyre width, if anything you want to reduce it. doing both front and rear then net you will be the same.
  22. 205/45/17 Rolling circumference 1858.72mm 215/40/17 Rolling circumference 1821.02mm -2.03% speedo reads 68.58 mph instead of 70 225/45/17 Rolling circumference 1913mm + 2.92% speedo reads 72.04 mph instead of 70 so 225/45/17 gives pretty much same change to rolling resistance (but positive instead of negative) as 215/40/17 compared to the stock wheel size.. so aslong as tyre fits in arch and on rim I doubt there would be any problem. Traction control may not like it but you can always turn that off Calc here if you want to have a play http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg4.html
