Hi all - can anyone help/advise? For some time now the driver's door on my 1995 s4 has been opening beyond the "stop" and this results in the door opening so far that the door stops against the hinge - this has resulted in a groove slowly been cut into the door by the edge of the hinge! Any ideas as too what this is - is something broken or merely come loose inside the door? Cheers Chris

Hopefully someone can benefit from my misfortune......... A few weeks ago I knackered my knee pretending to be young again playing footie - went to see a consultant on Wednesday evening (27th) and as a result have just arrived home from having an operation to remove two thirds of my anterior cruciate ligament! Doc reckons I have a 25% chance of being up to driving by the 9th but I don't want to leave it that late and then no-one else having sufficient time to make arrangements to take my place. Therefore I'll pull out now and if there is anyone still on a reserve list then they can have my slot. I'm well p..sed off (so is my 13 year lad who was joining me) but hopefully someone else will have a great time on my behalf! Not only will I miss the day but if I can't drive soon I'm going have to get the wife to take the Esprit for a run as it hasn't been out for 3 weeks! How are the numbers going looking now? What's the likelihood of any of the "day-trippers" getting bumped off if the limit is exceeded? I would love to be there on the Sunday but for many reasons I can't make it - I registered on 29th July (numbers 67 and 68) and booked the day off work way back then. I don't want the day off for any other reason and would cancel it if I get bumped. Any idea when the final final decisions are going to be made please? I've also got an extremely excited 13 year lad who is skiving off school for the trip - it would be a nightmare to make him go to school afterall. Chris

1995 s4 - totally original (as far as I know) except the Lotus valve caps!!! Also has only just (on Sunday) clocked round to 20,000miles so is pretty smart all round (except for the obligatory stone chips). Chris

I like Paul Matty's and have all my work on my s4 done there - never had anything but excellent service. I'll try and get there but am supposed to be going on holiday with my wife and my four boys (and my mother-in-law) on that day - hopefully I'll at least call in. Chris

Hi all - I don't suppose anyone is interested in some free used Goodyear Eagle GS-A tyres off my s4. I following in Katos' footsteps and having new Dunlop 9000's fitted all round on Wednesday. The rear's (245/45zr17) are not far off the wear indicators but the fronts (215/40zr17) have loads of tread left on them. Don't know if anyone can make use of any of them (they would probably do a track day). If anyone is interested and can collect from me in Nuneaton (Warwickshire) or even meet up somewhere then let me know before Wednesday otherwise they'll be off to the tyre dump. Chris

I've not had mine either - in fact last year I seemed only to get any issue after badgering Club Lotus - I'm giving it a few more days then contacting them again.
