Planning to go this year, just looking at booking hotels within circa 45 mins of the circuit.
Any recommendations?
If you can find one, book it!
Actually, just looked on Booking.com & there are still a few available, but quite expensive.

If possible, I'd like to make a trip along Route Napoleon this year. We'll see. But I heard that it's a nice trip with great scenery?
I would say its a 'great trip with nice scenery'. It certainly is a great drive, excellent roads & not too busy, but there are better scenic routes in the area, although the views down to the Mediterranean coast on the run down Grasse are spectacular.
On our return trip from Nice we took the D6202 following the River Var, after Entrevaux turned right onto the D2202 through the Gorge de Daluis, fantastic road & scenery. Then took the D78/D2 over the Col du Champs to Colmar then the D908 over the Col d'Allos. I can thoroughly recommend this route for a great drive & some truly wonderful scenery & views. One word of warning though, the road on the decent of the Col du Champs to Colmar contains some quite severe drainage channels which run across the road & can be quite tricky for low sports cars, on a couple of them I scraped the nose of the Evora on the ground, even taking them at an angle to only have one wheel in the dip at a time.

Did this trip in my Evora back in 2016 when we drove down to the Monaco Historique GP. Like you we didn't want to spend loads of time (& money) on the Autoroutes so planned a route which was almost entirely on National roads, the only Autoroutes we used were the free section from Dunkirk (where we sailed to) to Lille & a short section to get around Lyon. We had 3 overnight stops at Reims, Beaune & Grenoble using Booking.com to find places to stay. The route we took was:
Day 1: Dunkirk - Lille - Douai - Cambrai - Saint Quentin - Soissons - Reims. (We went via Soissons to approach Reims past the old GP circuit, via Laon is shorter)
Day 2: Reims - Chalons - St Dizier - Chaumont - Dijon - Beaune.
Day 3: Beaune - Macon - Lyon - Bourgoin Jallieu - Grenoble.
Day 4: Grenoble - Serres - Sisteron - Digne - Castellane - Grasse - Nice (where we stayed, caught train to Monaco for the racing).
Hope this helps.

Kevin, I see from your previous post you are a Club Lotus member, so book your tickets through the club, you then get to park in the club's reserved area in the infield.
What tickets you need, obviously general admission for however many days you are there. This gets you access to all spectator areas, club displays & trade stands. Paddock tickets if you want to see the race cars close up, not essential but worth it in my opinion.
Grandstands are free on Friday but tickets are required if you want to use them on Saturday & Sunday. I would avoid stands 15 (Chinetti) & 16 (Sommer) as the views from there are not very good. The stands above the pits (34) are good & from what I can see seem to be reserved for clubs displaying this time.
Also be aware that if you drive to Arnage or Mulsanne corners to watch, you will need to pay to park.

I will be going. Been to every one since 2010, not to be missed in my opinion.

The strange thing is they are only focusing on Amazon, a deal Juncker denies having had anything to do with.
Amazon dont actually make that much profit. The massive ones are Ebay and Paypal who do all their invoicing from Luxembourg. The press seem to have ignored these.
No they haven't

They ran one round of BGT under invite because the car was not homologated for GT4, but from what I heard they were so far out the front in that one race they were ask to pull back and let the second place man win in a car that is in GT4regs so s not to piss everyone off, hence why you see them now running in the AMOC which does allow it in the regs.
At Silverstone BGT race the Evora was hanging on to the tail of the GT3 field for a few laps & then appeared to ease the pace a little & dropped back towards the the other car in the invitation class, a turboed Toyota GT86. Both cars were significantly quicker than the regular GT4 class cars. I guess if the car does get homologated for GT4 it will be slowed down.

Quite a sad state of affairs isn't it? Relying on a dealership to display a selection of their stock in a tent to promote your brand on premier worldwide stage.
Not sure the FOS is as important to manufacturers as it once was, either that or it has become too expensive. Noticed that Volkswagen, Peugeot/Citroen & Mazda were all absent this year.

Had this problem on the right rear of my Evora. I bought a new TPMS valve & had it fitted at a local tyre fitters, they too had a problem removing the old one as it had corroded to the rim. Anyhow they did manage to fit the new one & it sealed ok for about 6 weeks then started to leak again. Where I work we have a number of vacuum systems, so I took the wheel to work & smeared a little vacuum grease on the o-ring under the nut, pumped it up & it hasn't lost any pressure since (I know, famous last words!).

Did it sound like this? (attachment) The MP3 is from a Porsche owner but my sound exactly the same
Yes, quite similar to that. It was worse going at a slow speed & you could also hear it if you bounced the rear suspension up & down.

I have some creaking noise from the right rear.....
Had that on mine a few months ago, turned out to be the bearing between the lower wishbone & the upright.

I have a Transcend DrivePro 200.
https://www.transcend-info.com/Products/No-498
Reasonably small & not too expensive, it produces quite good quality HD videos & like Colin's is wifi enabled, although I have never used that functionality. When I bought mine, about 18 months ago, it was only available with adhesive mount & I had to buy the suction mount that I preferred separately, but now it appears you can have either. Only niggle is the collision sensor is a bit too sensitive & often gets activated by bumps in the road, although better that way than not activating when you need it too.

I got mine from here.

An excerpt from the Evora Service Notes, looks like it isn't replaceable!
Steering Swivel Joints
The steering swivel joint housed in the outboard end of both the top and bottom wishbones, uses a steel
ball pin located in a synthetic spherical bearing cup pressed into the wishbone and retained by a swaging operation.
The joint requires no maintenance other than a visual inspection of the dust gaiter, and is replaceable
only as an integral part of the wishbone assembly.

Any update chap?
Yep, got the car back from Hofmanns this afternoon. Turned out to be the spherical joint at the bottom of the upright, new one fitted & now perfect silence from the suspension.

OK will do Stuart. I'm pretty sure it isn't the ARB mounting bushes as the squeak is definitely by the wheel.

I do have a bloody annoying squeak from the front right when going over bumps. Sounds like rubber rubbing against something. I'll be getting it looked at soon. Anyone else had this? Maybe the bushes need lubricatins as suggested by others in this thread.
Got the same thing on the right rear of my Evora, had a look at it myself at the weekend but could not find anything. It's going into Hofmanns on Friday to see what they can find.
