  1. I will just go with the front ... as this gets me on the track ... hope I will never need the rear loop ... Dont understand why the didnt put screwable hooks on as standard though, as so many of us use the car on track ...
  2. Thanks for the nice welcome to TLF! I will keep you posted on my progress with heel n toe ;-)
  3. Thanks all! This is exactly what I was looking for. I will order the Cup towing eye kit as well and I think even the cup grill (as its just 50 EURs) that way I can switch back to the original look. I am not sure yet if I will install the rear tow loop though, as my dealer said install is quite complicated?!? Do you think the front eye is enough to get on most tracks? Cheers and thanks again Norbett
  4. Good point - no tow hook: how do you guys deal with that on track days (a lot of them require tow hooks)? Is it a non issue as they will let you on w/o or do I have to get the Towing Eye Kit (from the cup)?!?

  6. Great! Thanks!! I ended up with matt black more or less by accident ... the dealer just had the car sitting there and I loved the color... I would have probably ordered something more "mainstream" if I wouldn't have seen it. I love it now but it is really a nightmare to keep up... Thanks a lot also for the tips and the tutorial around heel and toe. I will definitely give it a try next time I am on the track. You guys confirmed my suspicion ... it seems to be a dying art... most the younger track day guys I asked if they know how to properly "hell and toe" gave me a strange look and most of them didn't really know what I meant or what this is good for ;-) ... I am already curious how I will get along with now having to do all the shift "work" / fun... but thats exactly the challenge I wanted ... having a double clutch was great when it was new, now it almost feels like you are in a computer game... it might be faster for me on the track though ;-) ... at least until I learn to properly heel and toe ...
  7. Hi Lotus Fans, just a couple of month ago I bought a new matt black Exige V6 CR (I attached a picture below) and have been reading in TLF ever since. Thought it would be about time to make an introduction ;-) The Exige is not my daily driver it is just for pure driving pleasure on the weekend. I hope I will make it to a couple of track days in the upcoming season. So far I have only been racing a couple of times with BMW M / Porsche on their track events. In particular the BMW M fascination race track events are great fun by the way, but thats a different story... I have been driving automatic / dual clutch cars for the last "100 years" and have never been on a track with a manual. I am really looking forward to that new challenge ;-) Which brings me to a question: do you guys heel and toe when you track you cars? I have never learned how to do this properly and I am wondering how critical of a skill it is... Cheers from Germany Norbert
