  1. On the LDC stand at the NEC for the Classic Motor Show 2023
  2. I tried Lotus Silverstone who in turn checked Lotus who told them that they hadn't had the part in stock since 2011! If you can source this for me I would be much obliged. Screenshot from the new Lotus parts online site attached. https://parts.lotuscars.com/
  3. Wow, I didn't expect such a swift and positive response. I'll try Lotus Silverstone tomorrow. Many thanks, Seamus.
  4. I need an o/s/r wheel arch liner, Lotus list it as an obsolete part A127B4030K. Ideally I would like one in good condition but I would consider a damaged part that I can use as a pattern.
  5. I'm now the new owner of 070, I did a part ex with my 68' Elan S4 at Lotus Silverstone last week and did my first track day at Cadwell Park on Thursday.
  6. I appreciate that this is an old thread but I as I am now back into the Lotus owning fraternity I thought this would be a good way to introduce myself. I bought my first Elan S2 in 1975 but I managed to write it off. I followed this with an S1 rolling chassis into which I transferred the engine from the S2 wreck. I then sold both cars in 1977 as I needed a deposit for my first house. A couple of years later I bought another S2 which I returned to it's original colour of red (pictured with my brothers +2) and eventually used it for prod sports racing. I sold it in 1986 and I believe it was exported to Japan. In 1984 I then bought a 61 racer with my brother which we raced for a few seasons until we sold it on in 1987. We moved on to more competitive machinery for racing but that is another story. The 61 is now yellow with a green stripe and is currently owned and raced in Historic FF1600 by Dick Dixon. Next up in 1990 was an Esprit Turbo which I kept for 20 years but I eventually sold it because I didn't use it enough. In 2016 I retired from racing and sold off my race car and all my equipment which left me with an empty garage; another Lotus beckoned. I had fancied getting an Elan M100 for some time but I didn't keep it for long as I was never really happy about the shape, something about the side view with the roof up wasn't aesthetically right. So now I've gone back to my roots and bought an older Elan an S4 which to my eye has perfect proportions compared to it's successor.
