Our second meet this year will be in the west at The Tea house on the Loch in Drumpellier County Park Tea House on the Loch Lochend Road G69 8BE Glasgow As it is still winter let's not go to far just in case there is any white stuff falling from the sky and this spot is just off the main roads. It is also dog friendly they do gluten free food all points covered. As always get your names down please just to help with catering.
  2. Sorry for the late notice on the change of venue from Mannerstons to The Rhynd Cafe near Leuchars for breakfast tomorrow. Usual time 10:00am to midday. We were there last month and the breakfast was fantastic and a good selection of cars attending, Lotus and other makes. Hopefully there won't be as much water on the road this week and if you left your email with the Cafe last month you will have had an update from them on their efforts to have the road improved. If I make it tomorrow (bit under the weather today) , I won't be in a Lotus as they are all SORN'd. Kind regards Brian
  3. It will be very interesting to see what Komo-Tec do with #20 and whether they will retail it or have they bought it on behalf of a customer. If the latter we might never know what the re-sale price is and the true value. It certainly won't be re-sold at £69k (circa. €80). What will the on the road costs be in Germany, will they have to charge VAT for example? £69k is not a true reflection of the value of this car or any of the original 20 GTE's produced by Lotus.
  4. I still own the car and it’s with this dealer on sale or return so if it doesn’t sell this time I will keep it. 🥰
  5. Good luck. You will obviously be looking for a LHD. Mine is #8 a RHD and is for sale here at this dealership.
  6. Well, you could have gone for this to avoid congestion charges.
  7. Andy Unfortunately I didn't take any photos. @Andrew C Andrew Laing posted a few on Lotus Ecosse Facebook. I suspect you don't do Facebook so here's a couple I have copied over. The breakfast was good but the venue a bit out of the way. Despite that and the weather, which was pretty terrible we had my Esprit V8, 4x Evoras, 1 Elise, and the only pre '78 car in our group, my cousin Mike's Elan +2, oh and not forgetting Andrew's McLEGS 570S. A good turnout.
  8. Thanks Duggie. It's a slow and very tiring process for Jackie's mum but she is recovering. See you Sunday. I am sure there will be a few pre 1978 drivers there.

This venue was recently suggested by Andy @C8RKH further to a newspaper article in The Courier https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/lifestyle/motoring/news-motoring/990962/rhynd-cafe-near-leuchars-to-host-monthly-classic-car-driving-day/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook Despite most of our cars being post 1978 we are more than welcome if our cars are interesting, which they are. The cafe has a motoring theme and it would be good to see some classic cars there. So the next breakfast meeting will be at the usual time 10:00am - midday at The Rhynd Cafe near Leuchars, Postcode KY16 0DR https://www.therhynd.com If you have a pre 1978 car hopefully you can bring that along. I was originally unable to attend meetings in November and December as my wife Jackie and I were going to be away in Australia and New Zealand on holiday over this time, however, we had to abort the NZ leg of our trip as Jackie's mum suffered a stroke and is in hospital and we had to return to the UK. I will be at the Breakfast meeting with my very interesting Esprit V8 and hopefully I won't be the only interesting Lotus there. See you Sunday. Kind regards Brian @Al.

  11. I have now heard from Rhynd Cafe and although most of our cars are post 1978 they are happy for us to go along, the only criteria being that our cars are interesting. I would say they are so I will post up on the forum and send the group PM advising of this location for our next breakfast meeting.
  12. I was about to post up a reminder about the November 3rd Breakfast meet at the default location Mannerstons near Linlithgow when I saw this post. I was originally unable to attend meetings in November and December as my wife Jackie and I were going to be away in Australia and New Zealand on holiday over this time, however, we had to abort the NZ leg of our trip as Jackie's mum suffered a stroke and is in hospital and we had to return to the UK. I have contacted Rhynd Cafe to see if they will welcome post 1978 cars! I'm sure it will be OK as I don't think they will turn away business, but me being me I do like to check. I will send a group PM when I have heard and will post up on the Forum
  13. Just love Strictly Come Dancing Dating Agency. 🤣
  14. Sorry for being dim, but what is CC TVS 1900? My GTE is for sale here https://www.georgemackay.co.uk/used-cars/lotus-evora-3-5-vvt-i-v6-s-20-coupe-2dr-edinburgh-201902235229603 and although not mentioned in the advert, it has the Komo-tec upgrade to 430bhp
  15. As you will know it was decided earlier in the year to have a default location for our breakfast meet and Mannerstons near Linlithgow was the chosen venue. No need to add your name, just turn up between 10:00am and midday.
  16. @BigErchThanks for letting me know. Given that I am now the only one confirmed and given the weather outlook I will call off too, @Alfa2Evora and @C8RKH this might make your decision easier.
  17. Thanks Archie My other friend is now coming, but I don't think we will be going to the Classic Festival.
  18. The 2nd June Breakfast Meet will be at Milestone Garden Centre, The Greenhouse Cafe (Formerly Route 68 Cafe) from 9:30am which we have visited once before. Unfortunately their website is being redesigned so there is only a holding page, however Visit Scotland has details and a location map. This has been chosen due to its proximity to Thirlestane Castle where the BVAC Classic - Festival of Motoring will be held and a number of people expressed an interest in this event. The festival doors/gates open at 11:00am so I suggest we meet for breakfast from 9:30am at the garden centre. Usual meeting point Hermiston Gait Retail Park ready to leave by 8:30am if you want to travel in convoy. Spectator tickets are available in advance priced £8.50 from the BVAC website, tickets on the day will be £10 I would like to tell The Greenhouse Cafe how many to expect so please add your names to the list below. 1 Brian King
  19. Sorry I'm going to have to withdraw tomorrow so there is one space @stephenwhyte for breakfast. I am sure if you have a passenger they will be squeezed in somewhere. Have a great day everyone.
