  1. electro_boy's post in Advice please - should I install a LSD in Evora NA was marked as the answer
Thanks all for the feedback and advice it was greatly appreciated.
In the end, I decided not to install the LSD.  The total cost was too high (more than I had planned for) and I couldn't justify it as it didn't seem like there was going to be huge increase in performance.  I use the car for a bit of fun not competitive and am more than happy with the smiles per mile it currently gives so I feel there was little extra to gain for me by adding an LSD.
At some point down the road I may install a gearbox oil cooling kit sold by Hangar111.  It's around the same sort of price but can be installed at any time, just needs the under tray off and will greatly help with the reliability and robustness.
If I had a Evora S then I think I would have got it installed.   I'm sure I would've gone for some power upgrades downtime road and could have justified the LSD more.
But I want to keep the NA engine NA and I don't think I can add much more power than currently (~310bhp) without spending silly money.

I'm no expert by a long way but is that some kind of rivet?
You may have to drill that out and put a new revet?
  3. electro_boy's post in How to get this frame off was marked as the answer
Yep aluminium plate and black frame for the radio come off in one piece including the buttons.  Its held in place with clips that you can use a pry tool to get off.  If you've not done it before, I had to use more force to pry it off than I initially thought but it did come off safely and in one piece.
Attached photo show locations of the clips and where you'll want to focus using the pry tool.

Try starting the engine and waiting till is warmed up fully and then switch it off and let the heat soak warm up the whole engine bay and see what happens.
You can also check the mechanism on the gear box end to try and isolate where the problem might be.  Underneath the air box is where the gears cables terminate on to a set of leavers attached to the gear box, one lever controls the vertical movement which appears to be working in your car and the other lever will control the cross gate action.  If you can access them you can manipulate them by hand and see if you can select the full range.
  5. electro_boy's post in Reversing camera - image back to front was marked as the answer
Should be something in the settings of the head unit on reversing the image or not.
If it's an aftermarket unit, sometimes there is a wire you cut to make it reverse image or not.
eg this camera from amazon, check 5th picture down:

  6. electro_boy's post in How to remove gear stick shroud on NA Evora? was marked as the answer
Sorry for delay, I only recently found time to take a look at the car.  The job was super easy in the end.
The silver trim for the HVAC controls and gear leaver shroud all come off in one go.  It's just held in with trim clips so just some gentle leveraging with trim tools and the panel popped off and I could access the shift changing mech.  The opening was a bit cramped but I could access everything OK.  No need to take the whole centre console apart.
