  1. Seems the Pound skyrocketed vs Euro and Usd 🚀🚀🚀👍👍☺☺
  2. Since the engine did not have any damage, I think the fault is due to the poor quality of the material and welds used to manufacrure the exhaust . Other brands "Larini, Hart, Devil etc etc" do not suffer from these problems but if you manufacture them in China this could happen. Imputating guilt at high rpm , high speed spins or rigid connections is a nonsense. The Porsche GT2 has a twin turbos fitted 30 cm from the exhaust and it does not seem to me that the exhaust goes into flames. 2bular collaborated with Komo-tec, now no longer cooperates, did you wonder why? I didn't open my topic to get a refund, I would not buy a 2bular even if Ironman would weld it but my car caught fire and, believe me, it's not nice to drive a car that is going up in flames. I only wanted to share (I think that's why the forums exist) what happened to me. Anyone of you can buy all the 2bular exhausts, I only hope that what happened to me won't happen to anyone else. @GFWilliams, I check the car after any trackday, and nothing was telling me that the exhaust could have opened , have you seen my pics , the side bulkhead gave way like butter @C8RKH do we know each other? Did we go clubbing together? I don't bleat as I'm not a sheep. Be more polite with the person you don't know @geartox I agree with you @Bibs it's quite interesting what you mentioned about other advertisers @Edinburgh 111s don't get sad about alternatives , there're plenty of very good quality and even cheaper Maybe 2bular exhausts were the best , but now they aren't anymore , think guys, think . Cheers
  3. I'm sorry Andy, Why did you say they I avoided Jim's main argument? ...you say that the damage is always caused by excessive engine movement , the hanger rod welded to the end plate transmits the stresses caused by engine -movement and the end-plate twists and breaks. ( his assertion ) You wonder why Lotus use such soft engine/transmission mounts, so if you know that why you manufacture such exhausts ??? ( I think I didn't skip anything , did I ? )
  4. Wow, Mr.Jim Velentune, long time lurker now poster, I thought you were holed up in your den 😁😁 By the reading your reply everybody can notice you're an arrogant person .. What's that got my driving experience to do with the exhaust ??? I could be the best or the worst driver but you provided the exhaust that opened like an apple ...you say that the damage is always caused by excessive engine movement , the hanger rod welded to the end plate transmits the stresses caused by engine -movement and the end-plate twists and breaks. You wonder why Lotus use such soft engine/transmission mounts, so if you know that why you manufacture such exhausts ???? IMHO your products SUCK, in your disclaimer you should say" 2bular exhausts are appropriate for people who drive in the countryside, go to the bar or enjoy revving " Track exhausts are another story and you still need to open the book In my previous cars even more powerful than the Lotus, always track focused, I've always fitted aftermarket exhaust and this is the first time that happenS something like this. If you would have been another person , if you would have admitted that maybe this time something was wrong with the material I would have stopped messing up , but you still keep talking about engine movement and so on . Stop blaming Lotus for this , that and those and take charge of your mistakes but this happens when you give them in outsourcing 他們是中國窮人啊哈哈哈 Chinese language Awe, Armytrix, Akrapovic, these are top notch firms, they can provide inconel exhaust and this is the best material for racing , your material is so thin that it breaks if you fart on it It's not possible to place an order and receive the exhaust after 5 or 6 month ( not my case fortunately) you know I'm telling the truth as I can prove it Take a look at the pics , just to remember yourself what marvellous item you sell 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Everybody can purchase your products , but NOT FOR TACK USE bye bye little mouse
  5. Hi Mark, This ECU update has been released by Lotus itself so I imagine it has been investigated, tested and validated This I a chat I had with Lotus last January, I think this can help 😀
  6. Hi Maxi There's no need to wait the service to get the ECU update , you can have it anytime. Cerini takes care of my car since he sold it and followed me with the mods I did. To be honest I still didn't get the ECU update but I can recommend this dealer , they're reliable , serious , they sell lotus since 2004
  7. Yep, as stated before some Swiss customers complained as their 380 s stalled at 6700 rpm. Lotus sent to the dealer an ECU update to raise the rpm limit to 7000. 350 sport has the same engine so it was a nonsense to stop the limit at 6700. Apply to you dealer he will confirm this
  8. Hi Maxi, My car has been tuned by Lotus Cerini at Castelletto Ticino . Recently , following complaints from some 380 owner about the Rpm limit, Lotus has released an upgrade to take it to 7k rpm, as you know 380 and Cup stop at 6700. HRT, as you remember was an F1 team, they don't make any advertisement on the Internet , a friend of mine has connections with them . I don't like Cervesina , I prefer Cremona longer straight and more twisty , if you like I can drop you a message when I'll go there . Hi Julian, As written up above Lotus released an upgrade to raise the rpm limit to 7k, if I'm not mistaken the 350 sport arrives at 7k normal mode and 7,2 in sport or track.
  9. Hi Andy , a swallow does not make spring, by the reading the email he sent me I can say he was rude. Did you read it , he makes fun of everyone , Komo-etc included . I know for sure that up to a year ago they sold his products Tks Nicolas , i agree with you
  10. I'm happy for you if you consider him trustworthy and appreciate his talent . I don't want to get any support , I just wanted to share my experience . If you want to go with 2bular just go , buy one , two , as many as you can but be careful if you track the car . The exhaust scream and shout and it's fine but if you want to track that car hard it can survive , the pis uplodded speak themselves, the restwo is convesrsation . How many Lotus owners bought the car to track it or driving in the countryside and how many just to show off? Waiting time done here is more than 3 months . To manufacture an exhaust from the it takes no more that two to three weeks, the new exhaust I ordered will be delivered exactly three weeks after purchasing BTW I reinstalled the second exhaust he sent me just for two track days and after every time my service dealer control carefully checks the welds ,just waiting for the new exhaust to come I think the I think that the purpose of a forum is to allow owners fron all over the world to share their experiences
  11. Hi Mark, He did exactly the same the same offer to me . I installed the second exhaust he sent me ( free of charge) as after almost a year necessary to rebuilt the car I wanted to drive it , but after ever track day the car goes under investigation. I did just two more track days and that's all , waiting for the new to come . I'm sorry but I don't have any pic during the rebuilt , I can tell you it was a 52k euro invoice Hi Rob, I beg you pardon but when we talked I couldn 't tell you
  12. Hi Andy A saga is a Tale, fictional story of a people, a group or a character or a family along the succession of generations. This is neither a fiction nor a pre-judgement ,what I share on this forum is real life, facts that happened to me , just want to put an accent on something you should look out or be aware of, moreover it was just to know if something like this happened to anyone of you The tile of my topic ended with a question mark and I applied more to the truck gays, at Monza you're most of the time flat out and I think the flame inside the exhaust for a long period can damage it if they're built with thin material I decided to install an HRT exhaust
  13. Hi All, I just want to share with you what happened to me and maybe get your feedback and suggestions . June 2017 I ordered a 70 mm valved system for my cup. Just because the car was new , Jim said he had to think how to create it as that was his first exhaust for a 380 cup . The exhaust was delivered after 2 months( incredible ) In November I had the burnt -out exhaust valve and Jim sent a replacement exhaust valve and a 2bular "Track" exhaust for me to try. (No Charge for this). Well, after three track days at Monza you can see how the exhaust was and due di this my car caught fire , look how the exhaust opened up. The day after I sent To Jim, well not really to him as he doesn't have any WhatsApp , to come down here to have a look at the exhaust in order to safeguard other customers who had installed such an exhaust . I had a decat exhaust ,perhaps the hot temperature inside it is too much for the consistency of the material . Obviously Jim didn't come and dropped to me this email ( this guy thinks he is God's gift to women ) When the car was repaired , the dealer installed the new no valved exhaust Jim had sent when the valve burnt out. I did two other track days last month but, as you can imagine, every time I track the car I think if this exhaust will last long or not, that'S why I purchased a new exhaust and it will be delivered in two weeks ( the right time to create it from zero ) Judging from the waiting time ( in Italy many customer cancelled the order placed as after 4 or 5 months they didn't get their exhaust delivered ) I think these exhaust are made in China , otherwise it is incomprehensible that it takes all this time to get the product Maybe Jim is obsessed by the weight and he uses very very light material but it is true that , since some years ago, quality is getting worse, IMHO, this exhaust aren't for heavy track use , it doesn't matter if they're valved or not.
  14. Ciao Roberto, I'm based in Milano, you? abito a Milano , tu?
  15. yes , 129,4 exactly. No, haven't dyno'd the car, by the looking other cars like the Porsches I think 440 HP, but the most important thing is the gearbox, short ratios give you more torque out of the bends. moreover no Lotus has the power they say, Evora 430 Gt has nearly 410 cv, when I bought the cup and I dyno'd it we discovered the output was 455 hp
  16. Directive 99/44 EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 may 1999 on certain aspects of the sale and guarantees of consumer goods says that Traders who sell consumer goods in the European Union ( EU) are obliged Ro remedy defects that existed at the time of delivery and which occur within two years . Community rules guarantee consumers a minimum level of protection expecially if the goods do no t meet the promised standards. I discovered that my 380 Cup has only one year warrantyte, 430 Cup and Evora GT 430 have one year warranty as well. I was told by Lotus this. Now the big IF is that, for the time being United Kingdom remains a full member of the EU , with all the rights and obligations arising from it, so all the cars sold inland and abroad must have 2 years warranty
  17. Hi Nicolas, You're car is freaking cool , congrats👌👌 Are you going to take the car to the track?
  18. It's very kind of you, yep, the sound is really amazing and loud, in the cockpit I've to use earplugs db are 129,4 Did you see the last two videos?
