  1. Hey - to update the thread. Car has been in the workshop for a couple of weeks. They believe they have identified the issue - basically linked to the rats nest of cables around the lithium battery / voltage protector etc. It seems like some of the connections on the positive side were not as secure as they should be. I got the car back to test yet but the mechanic is confident that was the source of the issues.
  2. Thanks for the replies on this - some initial digging around hasn't reveled any obvious loose connections so have it booked in at Stratton in September. I have a factory lithium battery fitted and there is an absolute rats nest of cables around that and the voltage protector so given the car is losing all power, it is probably something in that area or ignition related. Will update when I hopefully get somewhere....
  3. Thanks Dave - that's massively helpful - I'll have a root around and see if anything is loose.
  4. As above, this is standard behaviour from stock and was how my 410 behaved out of the box. Find someone that knows how to setup Lotus geometry and you'll notice a huge difference. For me, additional front camber was the biggest improvement. Also make sure that your tyres are around 30 PSI when hot on track. Remember you also have adjustable ARB's front and rear.
  5. Hey all - Hoping someone may have had or know of someone that's had a similar issue. It's an intermittent electrical issue and hoping to get some advice before I take it to a workshop as sod's law they won't be able to replicate and I'm nervous of spending loads of time trying to get this diagnosed.... Below is the sequence of what happens when driving. This tends to happen on track or when the car has been exercised, but aside from that no obvious pattern. On track this week it happened 5 times in two hours, but not once on the road: Instrument cluster goes blank: all the lights go off, clock goes dark revs and speedo go to zero Engine cuts out (engine cut out lasts for 2-5 seconds) Instrument cluster appears to reset - speedo and revs go to max, all lights come on, then it starts to display speed / revs again Engine restarts Clock goes from 00:00 to the correct time Everything back to normal except for TC settings e.g. 'Sport' have been turned off Sometimes a yellow spanner stays on the dash for a further 30 seconds, sometimes not I have checked battery connectors (although it has the factory lithium battery which has loads of cables and connectors), but can't think of any other obvious things to check. So the $64k question - has anyone got any experience of this type of issue or have any idea what it could be? Thanks in advance for any advice or thoughts! Ben
  6. Hey guys - this is a really useful thread thank you. I have now been looking for a set of rear Cup 2's since June and Michelin customer services are still saying they have no production forecast. Given that other sizes e.g. 275s are available, this feels like an intentional decision on Michelin's part. Given it's the OEM / homologated tyre for the 380/410/430 it's really frustrating (my car is barely 2 years old!) - do you think there's any recourse perhaps through Lotus to nudge them into production? Failing that, the consensus seems to be to move to 225 fronts and 295 rears on a different brand... couple of questions I'm hoping someone more knowledgeable than me can help with: Do 225s and 295s fit without issue on the stock rims? (I guess 225s may be pushing the limit on the 7.5 inch fronts?) On the fronts, moving to a 225/40 or 225/45 will reduce or increase respectively the total diameter by about 10mm vs. stock. Is one preferable to the other? Cheers, Ben
  7. Hey all - I'm experiencing a really weird (and frustrating!) intermittent issue and was wondering if anybody had heard of this before? Car is a 2020 Exige Sport 410 20th. When driving and using the head unit, it will sometimes power off when I either flash the headlights to let someone out or use the indicators. When it happens, the head unit completely powers off (sound stops and all lights go out), then comes back on about 10 seconds later. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to this - some journeys it will happen 4/5 times, others none. I've had it into Lotus Silverstone twice, but they have been unable to replicate the fault. They've done the basics - checking cables / reseating head unit / changing fuses etc. but with no success. Any thoughts or experience?
  8. I can't make this one I'm afraid. Looking forward to the next one though, especially now the weather seems to have taken a turn!
  9. Hey all, Resurrecting a slighly dated thread, but looks to be the most relevant! Would installing a LSD have any impact on the 3 years' manufacturer warranty (either in total or in part)?
  10. Thanks for the welcome - very kind of you all. Awesome, great to see there are local events. I think I bumped I stumbled across one of your meets a few months ago. This Sunday may be a stretch but thank you for adding me to the group, I'll definitely be along in the not to distant future.... Thanks Bibs! Er a fair few I guess, enough to lose count. I love the track, but last time I went I vowed never to go again. Even on a painfully expensive private day, the place was overrun with people driving like idiots. Young guys binning it on sighting laps whilst videoing themselves for Instagram, driving like hooligans, constantly going off and generally ruining the day for everyone else. Over a full day, red flags were probably out 50% of the time. Never again. Spa is the dream, I hear the idiots haven't made it there in force yet...
  11. Hey folks, 4 years and two cars later, I thought it's probably time to introduce myself - Exige owner just south of Cambridge. Firstly thank you for all the great tips and advice obtained through lurking / stalking to date. I orginally had a black Sport 350 which I (very originally) swapped for a black Sport 410 (20th Anniversary) in 2020... Anyway, hello!
  12. Hey folks, at some point I really will get around to posting in the intro section! Quick one for you in the meantime, I'm mostly through my rear Cup 2's but copious amounts of tread remains on the fronts. Given regular Cup 2's don't seem to be easily available, is it ok to mix things up and put Connect's on the rear but leave non-Connect's on the front? As I understand it the Connect's are a different compound and have 20% greater tread depth, hence the question....
