  1. @Day1zero Not sure is it allowed to share but here is the installation guide Imran sent me when I bought mine. *I am happy to delete it if it's not allowed 2113755062_alias23airintakeinstallguidelinesV2(1).pdf
  2. It's to prevent oil and other contaminants buildup inside your engine/intake plenum, especially under high load conditions such as track day. It's the precaution mod with no performance gain.
  3. They are legit, I haven't bought any carbon goodies from Jason personally (know him too late) but I met Jason in person before and saw his products myself. His V weave hardtop is top notch stuff where you can option the V weave in the inner layer as well, they are incredible light too.
  4. @Mattmahope Yup they have been working well, I now relocated them under the coolant reservoir with a custom bracket, cutting out from a 2mm carbon fibre sheet so I can put back the engine cover and looks OEM. It picked up around 50ml of oils from the bank 2 (The tail lights side) since my install back in June (6 months) while the bank 1 still pretty clean and barely any oil picked up in the catch can.
  5. Guys, I just been told the production of the short shift adaptor is now completed...Yes Finally...! First off I wanna say big thank you for those who waited patiently as I know it has been substantial delay from the original plan but well...we are getting there. If things go smooth, I should able to receive them early next week and I'll have a quick check on the fitment and quality before I ship out! Some of you might aware it has the Aerie logo on it, I just wanna clarify I don't work for Aerie Performance but Jason at Aerie is very interested of my project so I've asked Jason to produce some short shift adaptors to give away the V6 fellows in exchange for the SS adaptor to sell on his website. Sorry they couldn't make it in time for the Christmas as they have some difficulties machining it in Stainless steel, as you know stainless steel is quite a lot stiffer than aluminum which makes them struggle at first. Having said that, we are getting there now and soon I will be contacting you privately for the shipping address.
  6. I don't quite understand why decat could damage the engine or supercharger. Do you mean without the restriction in place (decatted), the charger boost will alter and the stock ECU will not able to coop with that?
  7. Sorry guys It's been a bit chaos with the CNC supplier, it turns out they've made it in Aluminum instead of Stainless Steel which I requested. Good news is the fitment is great so I now have asked them to redo it in stainless steel at their own cost, I have been told the lead time could take 3 weeks from now on so hopefully I can get them at the end of November and ship out immediately before the Christmas time. This is what I received and I know its not stainless steel as soon as I put it on my hand, as it's significant lighter than the stainless steel sample that I got. The cable rob ends also arrived made by a reputed company from Japan called IKO NIPPON THOMPSON, as well as the retaining clip for the rod ends which I didn't take the picture. So it's not a SCAM and you are NOT forgotten! Now all we need to do is to wait for the CNC guy to redo them in stainless steel and we are good to go. I really appreciate your patience and I am utterly gutted when I received the aluminum piece as well Will keep you guys posted Cheers Keith
  8. Sorry to say all 10 sets of short shift adaptors have been reserved, perhaps it's better to wait for the user feedback before I decide will make another batch or not. Thanks for all the supports
  9. Thank you Sam, no worries, I am going to revise the drawing before sending it off for production, so that 3mm issue will be fixed at the time
  10. Hi guys, just a quick update. The second mock up arrived and it looks pretty good apart from the retaining hole at the back requires to move up 3 millimeters to ensure it locks securely onto the lever. Here is the video showing the shifting action from 1st to 6th gear, and then the reserve. WhatsApp Video 2021-09-06 at 2.04.25 PM.mp4 Instead of doing another sample and keeps everyone waiting, I'd like to go ahead with the production and hopefully to receive the batch at the end of September. The kit will include everything you need for the installation, including: - Short shift adaptor (stainless steel) - M6 Rod ends (For shift cable) - M8 Rod ends (For crossgate cable) - Shift cable pin - Stainless steel retaining wire As I said before, the kit will be absolutely FREE of charge but it will be great if those who are interested in this kit could pay for the shipping cost Cheers Keith
  11. @rmaurerExactly, it is not something new and I've seen the similar thing on other cars. Will put you in the list mate. I think we have 10 people now and I will give you guys update soon.
  12. Hi Mark. Thanks for your input. I think @Martrack was concerning about the material strength which we are now going to make the adaptor from a one piece solid CNC stainless steel. I understand the new shift point could stress the original arm/lever so if you look at the design, the adaptor was actually covering most part of the arm/lever so the stress could be spread across instead of at one single point.
  13. I have put your name down on the list I will update you guys when the second prototype arrive next week
  14. Absolutely, have put you guys on the list. Again I have no intention to take any money, It's for my own fun and I will make 10 sets to giveaway. Perhaps the interested parties will have to pay for the postage and that's it
  15. Confirmed they can CNC in Stainless steel so this will be what we going to use in the production batch
  16. Absolutely! Will put you on the list mate It's fine with the cost as I am planning to make 10 sets anyway Thanks for your input, if that's the case probably stainless steel is a better option then, let me talk to the CNC guy and see if they can make it in stainless steel as well
  17. The current mock up is 3D printed in Stainless steel, but I am thinking CNC it in aluminum for the production batch. Should be robust enough?
  18. Yes it will, we're all using the same EA60 gearbox with the same shift lever. Just the crossgate lever is different for later models (Exposed shifter) but we are not touching that here.
  19. Yes it does mate, will put you on the list Absolutely, will put you in
  20. @TBD Kudos for such brilliant idea! Surprised no one actually make the move of the adaptor so I thought I'd give it a go. I will be receiving the second mock up by next week and will keep you posted. I have no intention to make money from it so I am going to make few and give it to anyone who are interested @TBDyou are on the list indeed.
  21. Hi folks, I am developing a short shift adaptor which will fit all V6s with EA60 gearbox. The idea was taken from LotusTalk where you move the original pivot point inwards the shift lever, to create a shorter throw, which reduces the vertical (forwards/backwards) throw by approx 30%. More info below LINK : https://www.lotustalk.com/threads/short-throw-shifter.123965/ But instead of drilling the lever, I decided to make an adaptor which requires no drilling or risking damaging the lever. So the first prototype arrived a week ago and I have waste no time to get it fitted myself and I am so happy to say it WORKS! And it works brilliantly! The shortened throw reminds me the good old 997 GT3 shifter although the Porsche still has the edge in terms of 'Short' throw. The change feels more weighted as well as you now need a bit more ''push'' to change the gear, but which I am talking about a TINY amount there. Although the adaptor now fit tightly with the lever but there are few adjustments still needed before I can get it perfect, so more updates will follow
  22. Your tyres will need some miles to 'run in' with your new geo, the front toe out and more camber will make the car more pointy and less stable on straight, but this is the way to go. What's the size of your front tyres? When you run bigger camber you should consider wider tyres as well to offset the reduced contact patch with the road.
  23. Arun_D is correct, Cup R has one catch tank only but it collects oils from both breather pipes. The reason why I didn't go for the Mocal was because it's the breather type catch can, it will smell really bad (Ok for race car) and you might get oil dripping from the breather cap area. Anyway I have got mine fitted and it working perfectly, here are some pictures:
  24. Does anyone know if the attachment below is the correct setup for the dual oil catch can system for V6s? I am thinking to get the Radium Evora dual oil catch can kit with a little bit of mod with the bracket to fit the V6s. http://www.radiumauto.com/Dual-Catch-Can-Kit-Lotus-Evora-P259.aspx Any thoughts/insights would be appreciated. Cheers Keith
