  1. Update - the power of the tentative wiggle - got it moving all is well in the world!!!
  2. Afternoons - new Petrol Cap has arrived, inserted existing my own barrel with key installed - checked all barrel blades and these are all free to move - extra WD40 added and some light grease. Postive click as barrel went into new cap - however unable to withdraw key(?) or rotate the Petrol cap mechanism - any ideas? dont want to force it!!! - many thanks!!!
  3. Evening All - brought the 350 CR out from slumber....started fine all is well - blast around the country lanes top up with fuel..........rotated the key and the whole barrel came out with the key (lucky all the blades stayed in the barrel) - looks like some plastic has broken within the cap. The barrel now rotates within the cap. Do I need the cap and will be able to reinstate my barrel? Do you have any top tips on where I can get one?
  4. Evenings all - best/recommendations Indy place in Bristol / Bath Area please ??? - Exige CR 2016 - 21k miles many thanks !!!
  5. Mornings - appreciate turning into a McLaren thread!!! - Previous owner of McLaren570GT - bought with 700 ish miles on the clock from McLaren Manchester excellent service (far better than Bristol - who I nearly bought from!!) 2.5 years of ownership (and at Warranty expiry) I sold it!! Driving home to Bristol (first drive) intake canard flew off on M6 - took 6 weeks to resolve and despite being told by Bristol dealership "a few mins to fix new one on" took them over 3hrs Rear wing corrosion - bubbling on edges v.common repaired (2 new wings) under warranty Broken door hinges x2 - replaced under warranty 2nd Service - Gearbox oil leak - new gearbox!!! Also a few weird quirks - windows randomly going down on locking (returning to car after being left and come back and they are down Will it /wont it start - trouble recognizing key fob - have to put the key in the right spot. IRIS "infotainment" is poor So probably £40k ish of Warranty work done in 2.5 years. New warranty with Mc is around £4k pa. Dont get me wrong the car is a weapon / great fun and so quick (comically quick) - a tad PlayStation esque. Now in Exige CR - obviously not in same class with no luxury elements - but makes me smile more than Mc ever did!!!
  6. Did the mod today - great mod - top guidance from this page - took about 10mins - few images to help anyone. I have a quick release steering wheel so fairly easy to get my massive head underneath and see the relay. Few wiggles and out it came - lining up the replacement is a bit tricky trial and error won the day!!!
  7. Just done mine - had previously had LEDs installed - but one looked like it was failing pretty dim compared to the other - changed out - 10 minute job max IMG_2366.HEIC IMG_2367.HEIC IMG_2368.HEIC IMG_2369.HEIC
  8. Recommended on here!! - very impressed so far / the Pioneer App, which I was worried about and only has 2 stars on the App Store, appears to be excellent - so far. Using the phone as the processing horsepower means all the functionality is instant. Sound quality is solid (with focals all round) - multiple pre-set equaliser with 2 fully custom options. Nav you can select your preference and then this is integrated in the app (I use Waze). I mounted the microphone on the steering column (recommended on here!). Even though a DAB system does not come with a DAB Aerial - bought an Ebay special - round disk and mounted lower offside windscreen - works fine but possibly better options - will see how I get on. Integrated phone holder is solid and sturdy and rotates so you can have phone landscape/portrait as required. Functions either via bluetooth or you can plug in - charges phone on the go. Only issue is that the stereo recess is a little too deep to ensure a fully vertical angle with the phone in the holder - so does need 10-15mm spacer to ensure correct angle on phone - or you can just live with it! So far so good!!!!
  9. Darn - first time I have posted images - they did open (?) - can prob change to jpg if need to
  10. mmmmm - not straightforward with the harness bar fitted!! The Focals "just fit" in the recess with some gentle manipulation. Impossible to fit the 4 securing screws with the bar fitted - The alpine units only fitted with 3 screws. Impossible to fit the speaker grills not enough clearance but should be ok tucked behind seats - although may have a go at cutting the grills down slightly. My favourite bit is having to take out the passenger seat. Bahco min-socket set and absolute must. Additional fun was also had as the fwd outboard allen key head had previously been rounded out - larger sacrificial allen key socket driven in with a mallet - did the trick. Took about 2.5hrs to complete!! Was it worth it - hell yes!!! - Focals all round now - even with the budget Alpine Head Unit sound is transformed. I have the Pioneer SPH-20DAB (recommended on here!) to install then will look at a sub IMG_2262.HEIC IMG_2261.HEIC IMG_2259.HEIC IMG_2258.HEIC IMG_2257.HEIC
  11. Mornings - can anyone signpost me to the correct wheel bolts for my 2016 Club Racer? Ideally after black ones with the attached rotating washer - had a scan of the usual places - can find chrome versions but not black. Cheers !!!!
  12. Evenings all!! - anyone got any links etc to purchase replacement bonnet badges or do I need to pay the Ebay £76+ !! seems extortionate!! TVM!!!!
