  1. Hi, I have this headlamp unit taken from my 410; three of the LED's are not working so I'm open to any reasonable offers.

    Lorsque vous avez redémarré la voiture, les lumières ont-elles disparu ?

    Lorsque vous avez connecté un OBD2, avez-vous les codes d’erreur ?

    Je suis désolé, mais j’ai le même problème et le garage Lotus le plus proche est très loin et a très peu d’expérience, donc ils en ont vendu très peu.

      Hello Yves,

      The code came up whilst I was doing a track day.  The ABS light came on and it would not allow me to put the car into sport or race mode. So took it to a lotus dealer and they did the code reader and it said braking fault. This is one of two things.

      Either the brake pedal sensor, or in my case it was a sensor in the rear nearside wheel hub. Once the sensor was replaced everything worked perfectly.

      From what I can recall the light went out under normal street driving but I still could not put the car in sport or race mode. 

  3. Hi All, I bought a 410 with the objective of doing plenty of track days, and have done a few in the last 3 months. Full day at Hethel, and two evenings at Snetterton; all dry driving and car is on factory settings in terms of geo and dampers. Learning the car and the tracks has been OK and whilst I'm happy with speed, and fast corners, one issue that I'm struggling with is the slower, tighter corners. I love the way that I can break heavily on the entry and the car really goes where I need it to be on the apex but as I power out I'm finding the car wants to run wide. I'm almost having to slow down/turn tighter to make sure I stay on the track. Now I appreciate that the car will sit back with application of power will want to make it understeer but I'd like to know if this is normal for all those that track their Exiges, am I doing something wrong, or will suspension changes and geo set ups make any noticeable difference. Hopefully I've explained this correctly and any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi All, Easy one this, anyone have any recommendations for a cost effective reliable tyre pressure gauge? Was looking at B+G racing digital tyre pressure from Demon Tweeks but would appreciate any experience around these. Had an analogue one a while back but its broken.......
  5. FYI, Ended up being a wheel speed sensor; brake pedal switch was fine. Thanks to Hangar 111 for sorting this while I waited.

Hi All, I did a track day at Hethel last Saturday and about halfway through the morning session the display showed TCFAULT and also ABS light illuminated as well as skid car symbol between the speedo and rev counter. One of the guys had a fault finder and we plugged it in and tried to replicate it on a gentle lap but would not display. Tried the car on road on Sunday but under normal road driving conditions I could not replicate the fault. Any ideas on what could be causing this? Also I'm guessing for the garage to fix it they would have to have the fault displayed? Any helpful suggestions as to the likely cause (and solution) welcome. Thanks in advance.

  8. Hi All, Looking for some thoughts, preferably based on your actual experience of this topic. My 410 is coming up to four years old and its booked in for a service. Good independent Lotus garage have advised me that the rubber plastic flaps in the Lotus baffled sump need to be replaced every two years. As an alternative they have suggested the Moroso oil pans that have metal flaps so dont need to be replaced every two years. As I'm not familiar with this subject I'd like to have some views on this suggestion. What have others done in this instance? Thanks in advance.
  9. Just want to say thanks to everybody who contributed to this topic - it was a real help last night. Arrived at my mothers home where my Exige 410 is kept (my home garage is full) and had not used it for over a month. Light not even flashing on dash so big trouble....Connected the charger and after about an hour had a look but red light still lit up on charger showing no charging. Started searching and came across this thread and the post about the reset button....Oh yes, pressed it and then the little green light came on. Still nothing happening so read the instructions on my Optimate and it said switch it off for a bit and then switch it on again to "boost" it. Sure enough it worked and everything started to charge up. Next morning all looking good, battery fully charged! So thanks again to all for this post I would have been lost without it.
  10. Ok thanks everyone for your response...so it looks like there is no way to turn off passive immobilisation when the ignition is off and car parked up in locked garage. Evora manual is somewhat misleading as its says to cancel the passive immobilisation when ignition is off press the centre disarm fob button. Well it does disarm it for about 30-40 seconds and its then back on again. Interestingly, as I've looked in this more there are a number of lotus forums/discussions where the Lotus alarm and locking key fob system seems to be a reoccurring area of confusion and dissatisfaction. I love my Lotus and can live with it but on my other German performance car its either unlocked and disarmed or locked and armed; just two buttons.
  11. Hi All, Had my 410 for 6 months now and I leave it in my garage with doors closed but unlocked. During this time the light on the dash flashed once a second or maybe once every two seconds. I've now collected my car from Stratton and when I leave the car in the same condition as previous the light on the dash is flashing very fast 2-3 times a second. I'm concerned this is taking charge from the lithium battery so my question is how do I get it back to the previous situation when it was not flashing so much? Any advice much appreciated here.
  12. I have contacted Lotus warranty by email and they have suggested I contact my local dealer, Stratton Motor Company near Norwich who can handle my request.

  14. Hi All, Been reading this long post as I have three LEDs not working in my n/s Exige 410 headlight. Am I to take it that the only two options are to buy a replacement or ask Silverstone Lotus to do their fix? BTW my car is still in warranty by 2 months - is it worth a call to Lotus? Thanks in advance for any help here.
