  1. That was more of a perception thing. Coming from First Edition I-Pace myself, delivered on launch week, I (along with a couple of people I class as friends now) was heavily involved with JLR in feeding data back into HQ. The GOM was wildly known to be best efforts that was confirmed from the software devs themselves. JLR were generally just working with a linear estimates, based on battery size v temps etc and were not feeding too much more back into the numbers. After 12 months, in order to boost "range" rather than working more data in all they did was make 10% more of the LG batteries available, yet the GOM would often just stick to 234 miles available, come rain or shine. Their data was and still remains incomplete, that you could often drive the I-Pace 20+ miles more, with turtle mode saying 0 miles left in the battery. The car just had no coding means to display that remaining energy into useful figures because it was all based on linear numbers.
  2. New Feature : It would be nice to have an option that when you open the doors, the music/audio, either mutes or drops in volume. I've been caught out a few times, music playing, especially at night...open the doors and basically feeling like I've woken everyone up as the music continues to play. At the moment, you have to press the stop button before you get out....that's fine, if you are the one thinking of doing it....but if the family open the rear doors first...then the same problem exists. Adjustment : Upon coming back to the car and opening the doors...sometimes the audio is playing and sometimes it's not. Seems to be no pattern to how this works.
  3. Similar to what they have introduced with drivers seat, it would be nice to have the Passenger seat move backward when getting into the car for easier access and then move forward to the normal position when the door closes. I also think both the drivers and passenger seat movements should be a controllable feature (on or off).
  4. I hadn't factored in this type of situation...interesting. My advice, try and do the download in non China hours, as highly likely they are based offshore, so just reduces chances that backend servers are being hammered by Asian market where a lot of the cars are sitting currently.
  5. For a number of us, we have had our Eletre for a few months with new owners joining weekly. We are getting a feel for what works, what don't and what's missing. We know that Lotus HQ read these forums, so lets give them something to work with. So, lets provide some constructive feedback of "New Features" and "Adjustments" we would like to see, so they can take it all on board and feed this into the right departments.
  6. Doing it via home wifi or your own data mobile plan is perfectly fine. I really see no issues here @RogEletre
  7. Don't believe 1.3.0 has started to roll outside the UK yet. From the telephone call I had yesterday, they are tweaking the next batches to improve the experience (with locking car etc), but 1.4.0 is targeted to drop into the UK cars for circa April 1st.
  8. Took my Eletre to a detailer today in prep for deep paintwork detail, in a couple of weeks time. It's quite noticeable with swirl marks in the paint directly from the dealer. In close inspection across the panels, they noticed on one of the edges of a door handle what appears to a small bit of missing top coat paint, with just the primer showing. Does anyone have the Lotus paint code for Kaimu Grey on the Eletre so I can order up a touch up pen etc?
  9. Unlikely to be the Eletre as it's not available in an Orange or Blue
  10. HyperOS 1.4.0 should see Apple Carplay become available based on release details seen (along with HiCar support), however Android Auto still remains an unknown.
  11. Yup, they were 3 months ago when I took delivery of mine (to which they openly admitted). There is a lot of things they are doing for the first time at real scale, but I have every confidence that processes and systems will mature. The dealers for instance, could do with more direct access to information, deliveries etc, therefore taking pressure off HQ....and if the online experience was complete and fully customer manageable, again resources could be used more wisely....it's the glue bringing it all together is not quite in place atm
  12. Nik at Lotus, from what I understand, is just the only person managing the finances applications coming in and out from the finance house.
  13. They have that covered. It a camera is blocked, it beeps at you with warnings and advises which camera has blocked vision.
  14. I agree on the naming. RC09 and RC10 were both deployed as part of 1.3.0W
  15. Completely agree, it's really lack lustre. My past 2 cars, with questionable lesser systems (Merdian in Jaguar) and (Burmester in Mercedes) just had so much more depth, with far less speakers doing the work....and doing this even on FM radio (which sounded with more grunt to it). @Bibs Is there any chance you can feed this into someone, because the Audio comment is just not going away and cropping up almost with every new member who joins (is this an S and R only issue....as that's not really been determined).
  16. I move from 1.0.0C to 1.3.0W makes no difference to audio at all. Those who have been focused on this, are still trying to get to bottom of this (some have even visited KEF directly), is it software, hardware or purely how Lotus Chinese engineers ears like things. The car speakers are certainly not being able to take full advantage of what's installed, that's for sure. I was in directly contact with the dealership back in November, who was waiting for software updates to drop....i'll be going back to them as soon as have a spare moment. As for lane keeping/speed alarm...it's EU mandated in all new cars I'm afraid.
  17. Thanks Bibs How dare they go selling other cars....fuming I tell you! 🤣
  18. Well it has taken 3 months, but it has happened, I have actually seen another Lotus Eletre driving towards me...same colour too (I'm fuming!!! 🤣🤣) Now I understand why I keep getting heads turning as I drive by...its rather imposing coming towards you. Did I mention...I'm fuming 😄
  19. It's pretty much about the same on the Eletre
  20. Coming from the Jaguar I-Pace and heavily involved in that community and direct links into Jaguar, it too came with 19" to 22" wheels. The difference between them, was about 10 miles per inch size, to the point that Jaguar increased the entry model to a 20" wheel 2 years in, as software tweaks allowed them to claw back the 10 miles and a bit more. Your going to see something similar with the Lotus, for a similar run between 2 cars, one on 20" inch and one on 23", will be about 30 miles over a full charge, but I too suspect, that within a couple of years, through software, those miles lost will generally come back through engineering gains. It also needs to be made clear, all cars ranges are generally being measured in ideal conditions, based on a circa speed of 56MPH as baseline with a percentage coming back in regen, which is where the 350+ miles are being measured. No one is basing these figures at cars doing a constant 70-80MPH. Similar to @Footie I'm seeing the Eletre, in the current wet, cold, windy UK weather hitting 250 miles on a run along decent roads/motorway. I can take enough from past experience that we will touching on 280-300 miles come better months and that's without software updates.
  21. See my highlights and screenshots above. Most appears to be under the hood changes/bug fixes, but a couple of New Features did make it (as listed in my post) and a couple of GUI changes and graphic updates of minor note.
  22. I will also add, I've found the scanning of the QR code via the app, that is displayed in the car, to match profiles, pretty hit and miss on Android. It sits there, trying to scan, but it's quite rare that it don't take dozens of attempts to make it work. A mix of sunshine coming in the front window and finger print marks on the tablet screen, seem to really throw it, for my current Sony mobile anyway.
  23. None that I know of. I can confirm that 1.3.0W is no better than 1.0.0C. However, one note, I've found BBC Radio 1 (not my normal station, but under trial I was doing) to be far more bassy, than some local DAB stations, but on the whole, it's missing depth to the audio.
