Apologies for not replying ................For some reason I didn't pick up your posts. 1st diagnostics have been confirmed as false... I've had the MAP and M.A.T sensor replaced . but light still on. Worryingly I have been told my hydrocarbon readings in expansion tank are high... No sign of any oil sludge though.. Car is running fine ... but into Hethel tomorrow (7/09/2009) to be checked out. Thanks again for your help....

Had some disganostics run on my 1998 GT3. I am getting a cycling reading of; P0108 - Manifold Absolute pressure / barometric pressure circuit to high input. P0104 - Mass airflow circuit intermittent P0102 - Mass airflow low input P0101 - Mass airflow range repair P0110 - Intake air temp sesnor 1 Cars running fine except stuttering when it hits 4000 rpm (the fun bit). Any ideas , what I need to look at / replace.

I had packed my deck chair and paper with the intention of a relaxing afternoon lolling in the sunshine, didn't quite work out that way, but I'm came away thinking I'd met a great bunch of guys !!! I'll try and keep my eye on the site for more meets. The evening run with a chip shop stop & photo op would be a great idea...Somewhere like Wells or Blakeney Quays Thanks, Andrew

Great to hear your first impressions of the GT3. As Owen says most seem to be GT3 traits. Intereseted to hear about the overheat problem. I had the same problem with the tempearture creeping up, switching off and having the heater on full temperature got me through. I've just checked out the fans and they are not switching in. Anyone know where the thermostat or Otter switch (if the GT3 has one?) thingy is? . Also would love to hear your thoughts when you first try to work on the GT3.

It was a local. I'm Andrew live at Wreningham (next village south from Hethel) bought my mustard GT3 in Scotland in December.

I am along term Top Gear fan - going back as far as the William Wollard days. Although entertaining Top Gear is not really a serious motoring show anymore. The messing around is taking over, and even on important motoring issues, such as the over emphasis by Police on speeding they are being dismissed as idiots and car extremists. The level cross item last night proved this. As you point out a lot of the mishaps are staged stunts. For example the flying of the remote control plane into the window on last week's rocket item. Also as one who tried to obtain tickets the audience is vetted to ensure a female presence and the lack of motoring knowledge is unbelievable. The other problem is the other moroting shows such a '5th gear' are copying and not even pulling this off. What we need is a motoring show that is entertaining not an entertainment show that features motoring. This program should not be made to pull ratings.
