  1. Hi Paul & Welcome, That's a lovely V8 - I've always had a soft spot for yellow ones - maybe it's because Ive got a beautiful 1:18 scale one in yellow on my shelf at home. I'm just down the A12 from you (I live in chelmsford and regularly drive to work in Witham in my V8). This place must be the Esprit capital of the UK!
  2. Thanks for the information everyone. I'll be contacting PUK or PNM for the discs. I only need the rotors, the bells are fine. I didn't know that the Lotus discs were unique or that they included the centre bells. I supose that this goes some way towards explaining the price, but the centre bells don't wear out - so why do lotus include them? The 330mm option with caliper spacers sound tempting too! though I suspect that this would leave a 5mm unswept ring around the base of the disc which would eventually go rusty. Now all I have to do is figure out which pads to use!
  3. Hi Bibs. No the discs are normal cross-drilled ones with AP calipers. The labour element to fit was
  4. Does anyone know if you get tickets at the gate or is this a ticket in advance thing?
  5. I just replaced the wiper on mine with a PIAA item, which I have to say is the most fantastic wiper I've ever used. I will now be replacing the wipers on my BMW and the wifes Renault with PIAA items too. try; www.espdesign.co.uk/esp.storefront/EN/Product/37551 They are not cheap, but they do work fantastically well, they dont squeak or jitter - they just do what they're suposed to.
  6. I had a blow out on one of my rear 285/35/18 Mitchelin Pilot Sport's at the weekend. Got a new one fitted today without even thinking about the 295 option - Doh! I could have upgraded both the rears. Never mind - I'll consider it next time.
  7. Hi Robin, If it's not too late I'll be up for it. Where do i sign?
  8. I ordered a pair today from Autostyles website (www.autostyle.co.uk) they are priced at
  9. I did this job over the week end and it's cured my rattles completely. Cost me
  10. I can get you the code for Greenstuff, Redstuff (and yellowstuff if EBC make them). The surest way of getting the most accurate part number is to take the old pad off the car draw around it and then fax me with your drawing on 01376 509145 (mark your fax for the attention of 'Sonny'. I will be able to get you the part numbers within 24 hours.
  11. I think Bibs has it covered, but if youneed any more Photoshop work done give me a shout - It's what I do for a living (what a chore!). Happy to help. Cheers, Sonny
  12. What a coincedence - That'll be my birthday too. You have a 4 year head start on me though!!!
  13. A big thanks to all those who have helped me build up the history of my Esprit so far and for welcoming me to the Forum. ..and thanks for all the advice about refurbing those Magnesio wheels. They are with a reputable company right now having the work done - I will post some pic's to show how they've turned out. In the meantime I've got my fingers crossed!
  14. After trying the Carrera 2 I decided that if I ever buy a Porsche it would have to be a Turbo as I felt the C2 just wasnt that quick. At that point I would really have liked to try the 996 Turbo as I had heard it was quite awesom, but they were just way out of my budget. But guess what - even the the highest priced Esprit's are cheaper than the cheapest 996 Turbo. I'm sure the 996 or 997 Turbo would be a fantastic machine, but I think that pound for pound the Esprit has an overwhelming edge.
