Jeremy......re your points ... see earlier posts!
Gordon
I do apologise, I didn't catch those points, I just saw the other posts about why this is legal and that's not and should laws be changed etc.

The mounting bracket is for deffo V8 It does look like a V8 set up.
Does the master cylinder have Bosch 23 moulded in the casting? The servo may have a sticker on it which will also state Bosch.
I can supply part numbers if required
Is your car a late S4s?
Does it have ABS?
Hope this helps
Regads Mike
Mike
Can't see Bosch anywhere, only Bendix
Mine is actually an early S4s 22nd off the line.
Seems my car was a test bed for Lotus
Ive got V8 braking system, sport 300 chassis, V8 gear change, and a few other bits not "standard" on S4s cars.

Reliably informed by an idiot?
Absolutely, plenty of military aircraft fly a lot faster then Concord did.

ANPR engines are able to cope with various fonts, font sizes and foreground / background colours, but having said that Laura is quite correct in that they are not infallible and in the picture of the number plate on the original post the "1" character could be miss read as a scewed "7" or the "D" as an "O" if the angle of shot was "off" in anyway.
1) You know the plate doesn't meet the "law"
2) You got caught
Result, man up and take the hassle or change the plates.

Mike
This picture any good?

And would drivers coming the other way see you flash your lights warning them of the speed trap you've just passed?

Still not sorted 100%
The pump seems to be working OK, but the brake warning light remains on and the pump runs probably a bit more than it should, but otherwise braking is fine.
I'm looking for a new brake servo and master cylinder assembly, the one on the car is a bit rusted underneath and suspect this is the root cause of the issue.

An old, blind cowboy wanders into an all-girl biker bar by mistake. He finds his way to a bar stool and orders some coffee. After sitting there for a while, he yells to the waiter, "Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke?"The bar immediately falls absolutely silent. In a very deep, husky voice, the woman next to him says, "Before you tell that joke, Cowboy, I think it is only fair, given that you are blind, that you should know five things:1. The bartender is a blonde girl with a baseball bat.2. The bouncer is a blonde woman.3. I'm a 6-foot tall, 175-pound blonde gal with a black belt in karate.4. The woman sitting next to me is blonde and a professional weightlifter.5. The lady to your right is blonde and a professional wrestler."Now, think about it seriously, Mister. Do you still wanna tell that joke?"The blind cowboy thinks for a second, shakes his head, and mutters,"No... not if I'm gonna have to explain it five times."

I'd say get the best you can comfortably afford. While a cheap guitar amp package may seem like a bargain, if the guitar is horrible to play and the amp sounds bad, you'll get bored / annoyed / fed up very quickly and that cheap stuff will sit in the corner of the room untouched.
You can get very nice guitars for a couple hundred quid, spend a few quid on a half decent multi effects unit and do what I do plug it into your PC with some decent speakers on it.

Anyone know what size socket fits the studs on the OZ Futura wheels, I have air leaking from 3 studs on 1 wheel, losing about 8psi over 7 days.

this is not leading edger technology, this is not pioneering concepts
Sorry Roger, but you're talking out of your bottom if you think that motorsport not just F1 isn't the leading edge of automotive technology.
Just because it hasn't filtered down into my daily driver doesn't mean what they are doing is irrelevant.
I don't want to have to pump hot oil through my engine for a few hours every morning before I can start the car on my driveway, but that just how I feel.
I'm not saying the rules are good or bad but you can't deny, without them, the team with the most money wins all the races, and 800 horsepower from a 2.4 litre normally aspirated engine... pretty f..kin' impressive if you ask me.
-
The rules themselves prevent pioneering development.
Not true! it's because of some of the rules the teams have to come up with new ideas to make the cars faster, more aerodynamically slippy etc. Usually things aren't banned from the race until a team sticks their developments on the car and suddenly have an advantage.
