  2. Hi Bibs I need one of these for my GT3. Can you post it to Cyprus? I am not sure if Cyprus is the usual european postage rate. Regards Cos
  3. Hello Colin, Your car look really nice. I am thinking about sending my 1976 S1 to mark for a full body respray. I have spoken to Mark, and he sounds like a really nice bloke. I was hoping you might be able to tell me how his work turned out, and how his price was compared to other companies. Regards Cos
  4. Hi Anthony I totally undersatnd you not been able to make up your mind. Yours is a lovely car. I've no idea what the rear wheels it has are. The could be some kind of custom wheel i suspect. They look to be in 2 parts. The center disc is bolted to the outer part. I'll call you soon. Take car. Cos
  5. Hi Richard I have been thinking about that quite alot. The excel engine fitted starts up on the button. I will see how I am going to go about this. My brother, who has an esprit S2.2 and an eclat 2.2 also think the same as you. Cos
  6. Hi Mike This is so exciting. DO IT MAN! I like you plan already. Cos
  7. Thanks guys for all your good wishes. Ironically, this car is 127G. The Agia Napa car (Yellow molested one) is 126G. The car will spend a while at my brothers in London, (Roddy, silver S2.2) where the work will start. I plan to get it back to as original condition as possible. Its currently got an excel engine fitted. The original engine came with the car, with a bunch of receipts for the engine work that has been carried out. I will start by getting the original engine full prepared, and running in the car before anything else. Then it looks like a body off job, to review what works been carried out. The chassis is the original, that has been hot dipped galvanized. I will jigged, then painted black. i'll see where I will go from there then. Cos
  8. Thank Bibs Roddy is definately coming to the NEC again this year. I will try to come too if I can get the time off and come over to UK. He says hi, and looks forward to it. I will be subscribing as a "fully" as soon as I get back home. Really hope I can find the rear wheels soon. With this restoration, its going to be a real fun. Just hope I dont come into too many bank breaking discoveries I want to keep a running update of this restore, as I believe that sharing of info is the way to keep these cars on the road. Cos
  9. Happy day Happy moments Hi Guys Yipee, I finally picked up an S1 esprit. Its an original white car in remarkably good condition. It does need some work, the usual stuff, including a reupholstry job, but thats all the fun in owning an esprit S1. Luckly, it hasn't had a sunroof fitted, and its complete. Having it handed to you on a plater is something anyone with loads of cash can do. Restoring it yourself, is going to be really good fun, and a huge education. One thing which might cause me a small headache is finding a pair of rear wolfrace wheels. Hopefully, I'll be posting as I go along witht the restoration. Bibs, how do I become a full member? Cos
  10. the Hi Todd Thanks for the reply. Sounds really interesting. Please let me know if they become available. I will be willing to pay a good price of course. I too want to get my car looking original. Where are you located? Regards Cos
  11. Hi Guys I finally managed to get hold of an 1976 S1 esprit. YIPEEE. Needs major restoration work, but I plan to get it up original condition. Unfortunately, its short of the spare, and the 2 rear wheels Does anyone know anyone who has some he is willing to sell Anything considered, from 1 wheel to a full set. Plan to start a thread in restoration section as soon as I start working on it. Cos

  13. Thanks Tony, I have some pics of the front and back wheels, with the size stamps. What I really need to know is if the same wheels were used on any other cars too. I think the scimitar wheel are very similar to the ones used on the front of the S1. Anyone know about the back ones? Cos
  14. I imagine this subject has been talked to death somewhere on the forum, but I just cannot find it no matter how hard I look for it. Can anyone please tell me if the same wolfrace wheels were, either front or rear were used on any other cars other than the S1. Also, does anyone have the specs on these wheels, espcially the offset and the PCD. Cos

    Cyprus

Hi Andy Yes, there are quite a few esprits here in Cyprus. I own one, the silver GT3, and am planning to bring another one here too. I live in Oroklini, where believe it or not, there are another two in the village! There is even 1 more in Larnaca. There are at least 4 others in Limassol, and at least 1 in Nicosia and 1 in Paphos. Its lovely to drive these cars out here, and the climate does them good, so long as they are kept garaged when they are parked. Get in touch if you want to find out more. Regards Cos
  16. Just to set the record straight, Peter and George did not molest this car. Apparently, they bought it that way. God knows why though!
  17. and apparently, its for sale
  18. its chassis 126G and the instruments are strangly black, rather than green? :s
  19. I know, Its terrible. I saw this car a few years ago, and it was fine. prehaps needed a new interior, but it was fine. It brought a tear to my eye while i was taking these photos. Its number 126G in case someone is thinking about adding to the list of dead S1s. I wanted to throw a bottle of ouzo over it, and set it alight to put it out of its misery. Here you can see on the second page what it looked like 9 years ago when BC007 saw it in Limassol. http://s748.photobucket.com/albums/xx125/constantine1972/
  20. Me thinks lotus got alot of their design ideas for the back of the gorgeous evora from this beauty
  21. Looks like the current owner has managed to graft on a replacement bit to put the early blade spoiler onto. Car looks like it has had some other bits done to the front too, cos it looks like its been blown over with some aerosole cans. All in all, looks like a restoration jobby to me.
