Does anyone have some photos of the engine and surrounding boards in place. Is there ment to be a boatd across the boot behind the engine.

Did anyone ever discover how to finish the engine cover

I am trying to identify the material a 1980 N/A S2 air intake is covered in after a fire as I have little of it left.

I have just put my S2 back together after an engine fire some 17 years ago. I have rebuilt the Carbs but it will now only run on choke. I have set the mixture screws 2 turns out as the manual states but still need the choke all the time. Any ideas what I have wrong. I have also conducted compression test and ignition timing which are both fine
