I’d also like to get back into some Breakfast meets this year. I look forward to seeing you all at one, at some point when the weather warms back up.
I’m now living just North of Perth in Murthly. Love it up here - the surrounding roads are amazing👍
Alan I’d like to take you up on your offer to be added to the WhatsApp group👍 I’ll PM you.
Cheers
Stephen

Think you are thinking of a different car. Red Esprit Turbo similar to yours sold at auction with the private reg 'W 28'. Whereas the gentleman above has purchased the blue Esprit Turbo which displayed the reg 'WXJ 1' sold via a car dealership?
Very good point well made Neil! I was in a hurry when I posted earlier as was heading out for the day….and something did trigger in my mind about the reg and something not feeling right, and now I know why. The blue Dry Sump purchased is a beauty and have admired it previously several times! Ignore me, and I’ll leave you all to get back on topic!🤦🏻♂️😉

I ended up buying the WXJ 1 car, which for your register is 1271, engine no. 20232. I did get the certificate and although the car is a dry sump, the certificate does not show this. It was signed from production in May 82, registered in June.

Dave just looking at the details of your car…what makes you think it’s a Dry Sump car? The advert says Wet Sump and the engine bay looks like a Wet Sump variant ie. without the tank on the right……
I’m sure yours is Wet Sump like mine (mine being the first one built) - pictured for ref and to show you how similar they are👍😉

I’ve got your twin!😉😎…….Congratulations on your purchase. I thought it would’ve budded higher with the plate but you got yourself a bargain there by all accounts👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Would love to see some more photos of your one👍

No problem.
He said he has a record of every reg number and car he sold still. Happy to ask!
If I don't come back to you can you give me a nudge mid Jan!
Cheers
Stu
@Stuart Monument - did you ever ask the NMC Salesman you know whether he remembered the sale of my Esprit? Would love to see a copy of the records from back then😎

Looks like the first owner will be from China…..if the nose badge is an indication👍

Really do love the thought of Emira in a dark blue metallic though…….Meridian Blue could be very special indeed!😎

Frustrating isn't it?
I do know of a Lotus mechanic who moved back into the Edinburgh area and was looking for a garage to set back up again. He used to do, particularly Elise's, but did a good job on my M100 light refurbishment about 6 months ago.
However my last job enquiry was over 4.5 months ago and I'm still waiting for a reply 🤔
Was thinking you meant Ally McLeary initially

I’d personally watch with this guy - I’ve heard mixed reviews and he knows how to charge!

True but in 10 years how many ‘blow overs would you need’
I’m with you - I got my Exige PPF’d from new when it was new in ‘18. It needed done twice though, as the first guy made an arse of it first time……but the second job was much better, and the car still looks like new😎
Yes it’s an expense but when you’re spending this kind of money for a car you plan to keep, or at the very least to keep it looking it’s best……this is the way to go. Once it’s paid for, it’s paid for👍
As a side note - I had always though Magna would’ve been the colour I’d have gone for Emira, but that changed when I saw pics of your Dark Verdant First Edition with Silver wheels! Love it!😍

So it’s not a documentary then - I got the impression it could be but then thought what would be the point in spending a fortune creating. So just a promotional update on Lotus Tech then - got it!👍

Is this a programme that will be available to watch online or is it just an extended clip of above?
-
They’re the cast wheel as I understand that will be used on the Base model, so maybe part of the first batch of those that will be used for testing? Might be an i4 model?
-
As I was typing I knew there was a euphemism in there whatever I wrote, so just rolled with it!😉👍

Shmee’s front access panel gap looks even tighter than one on the Nimbus Grey car you’ve pictured above👍
-
He is a little hard work to listen to at times but his videos of car reviews don’t lack on the facts & knowledge front.
The gaps on his car look good - in particular the gap at the bottom of the front access panel, where the rubber is. I wonder if there’s been a change to improve the gapping there?Looks great in Yellow👍😎
