I bumped into Steve Tillett last weekend in his DV Emira and had a chance to try out the Tillett B10 XL's he's fitted to his car. They are lovely, they look amazing and were really comfortable. The form fitted me perfectly, full support from thigh to shoulder and very easy to slip in and out of. Worth a look if you wanted to change the seat to something sportier and of course, a lot lighter than the standard seat.

Was in London today so popped into the fancy dealership opposite the Ritz. Nice enough staff, need to be given more in depth training on the company and a trip to the factory! I asked about the new colours and the samples had arrived today, I later heard that Exeter got theirs too. new blues are nice, though one is the blue equivalent of dark verdant… almost black inside the showroom… need to see it in sunlight!

I've head dealings with Nick at Aliath in the past for headlight protectors (Evora and RR Velar) and black "shark fin" pieces (Evora). I recently enquired about headlight protectors for my Emira (due soon...) and he's advised that a number of pre-cut PPF patterns are available and are now listed on his website here (there are 13 patterns over 2 pages) : https://www.aliath.co.uk/search?page=1&q=emira Please note that : I have no connection with Nick other than as a customer - but the pieces that I have had before for self-fit have been great! I don't know anything else about the templates (e.g. do they wrap around or have visible edges?) or w…

The fob is a chunky boi, and I have the tracker so also have a completely separate fob that has to live with the key. Any suggestions for key rings, what are people using?

Just watched a video by JP_FOX of a Nurburgring hot lap, it’s a RHD car, he is in track mode (I think) and the large speedo number is in KPH … how do you change from mph to kph? assuming it’s a uk spec car. I know how to set the kph in the small widget screen.

I’m into my second week of ownership of my lovely Hethel Yellow Emira and still finding my way around all the different screens and settings. Could anyone tell me if the Sat Nav displays the current speed limits as mine currently doesn’t. I was wondering if there is a setting that I’ve not found yet that puts the speed limits onto the display. Thanks in advance Regards Will

So, don’t leave your key on the roof, cos it will start and drive fine, it needs around 50 mph before it blows off the roof. If you see the key fall off and bounce on the tarmac if you stop don’t switch off the engine cos it keeps running ok. After spending a while looking for the 5 parts of the exploded key (well 6 if the battery separates too) just reassemble, drive to a secure location switch off and check if the key works, mine did, very lucky as 600 miles from the spare key. Also don’t assume it will fall off quickly, I did nearly 5 miles. 😜

WIth the limited time I've had this week to fiddle, I can't get any DAB stations, despite there being great DAB reception in the area. Any top tips to get me started in the morning, before I phone the Dealer/CC?

Lotus very kindly placed all the cars in a row to help us all see the differences in the colours of the cars plus the different wheel, caliper, black pack and interior options, bar a couple of them. They said it was the first time ever that the cars were together like this! Bottom line is that the car looks amazing in all of the colours but I was more surprised at the impact of the privacy glass, the calipers and the interior differences. Hope you find this helpful.

Ha, I didn't love it at first. I thought 'OMG, the car has completely changed!' and then I started looking at it and wow, what an improvement. Now I am very happy. If you do wish to use GVE London then mention RevMoney10 for a 10& discount on any service. They had to do a LOT of prep on my car as I had been driving it for quite a while at the point I dropped it in and the standard paint is NOT good. Happy to answer any questions.

Hi, does anyone else have issues and concerns about their paintwork, I went for the dark verdant and it seems like it scratches and marks with even the lightest touch, I’ve had it ceramic coated but still no joy, I don’t like the idea of being forced down the road of PPF. I’m concerned about the longevity of the paint finish

I’m sure there will be plenty here that like myself enjoyed poking round the 4 cars at Goodwood currently. Surprised myself by really liking the silver car which previously would have been my last choice and also very taken by the red one. The issue was that when I climbed in the red car I wasn’t comfy in the seats particularly around the headrest and the back of my neck. My current car has fixed seats yet I’ve never felt the need to alter them in any way. People on Lotus stand told me these were the final production seats. Now panicking on if I could get them adjusted to make them comfy. Could be a deal breaker for me. Anyone else got views on t…

Would be useful to know what is the latest software version and what are the changes/fixes are, and do most or all dealers have the ability to download/install. Is there any future for OTA software updates?

It appears that the voice command system is not installed, I have no option for voice examples in system settings. So why are there driver profiles, kind of used to the car switching on and asking who I am, but I don’t get this. strange but voice command works with car play , but the nice apple person doesn’t understand when I want to change the temp Is it not normal for a short press of mic button for car controls etc and long press for CarPlay ? I had forgiven the lack of blind spot collision and front and rear collision, but I must admit I miss it, once you are used to it, it’s an essential safety tool. Oh and why no app to tell me when I …

I’m mulling over wether to spec the Scorpion tracker. Thankfully Lotus’ don’t seem to suffer from excessive theft rates but I’m thinking might as well have it as it will be factory installed (I assume). But, I don’t think I could be bothered having to carry around the driver tag that seems to come with it. I suppose I could leave it in the car somewhere but would that bring insurance issues if the car were to be nicked? Any thoughts from the TLF massive?

Hi Everyone, Just thought I would pop on here and quickly introduce myself, I'm Duncan and amongst other businesses, I'm from Autoshine and Tinting in Telford, UK. I've seen there has been some mention on here about us in recent weeks as we were lucky to get the UK's first customer Emira in with us for PPF and other things. Firstly, I'm not here to sell anything, we are lucky that we've been going a long time so constantly have work bursting through our doors, but what I do aim to be here for is genuine advice on all things that some might consider me being an expert in so you can be informed on facts and not what your mate heard someone say down the pub 🙂…

So lotus describes the headlights as vertcle LED, I can’t see an option in settings for rhd/lhd, is that because you need matrix led lights as on my defender to do that? Would be nice to change speedo from mph to kph for the European trips as well, defender has that too. maybe a software update could sort the mph/kph option, customer services any chance please?

How many are considering having PPF and or ceramic coating done prior to collection? I’m thinking paint correction, PPF to at least the front areas and ceramic coated of entire car. My collection would be Rybrook Birmingham, not sure if they use anyone or whether I’d have to arrange myself. Anyone recommend a tried and tested place for this in the Midlands?

Hi Guys, I specced my Emira with an Alcantara wheel and was told by the dealer than a contrast centering stripe could be configured at a later date. In my case to match the tan leather interior. Just been onto the new configurator and nothing comes up on the V6 manual steering wheel options... but crazily it's available on the V6 Automatic! I emailed customer care about this and received the following reply... "With relation to the steering wheel center mark, this is an option that you can choose when configuring however it is only available on the automatic. We had supply issues with the required parts, so unfortunately had to limit the availability o…

Hi all. Suspect this may be too early to be answered, but has anyone sat in the Emira and can you provide any comment on pedal offset? I owned an R8 previously and due to the short front the wheel arch intrudes in to the footwell, pushing the pedals in towards the centre of the car. That causes the driver to be slightly more twisted and caused my right knee quite a bit of discomfort on long drives. Given the Emira has a similar design I wonder if it (or rather I!) will have the same issue?

Looking to get a covered trailer for the new toy, the minimum door height appears to be an issue if you want to drive into a trailer with side opening doors (so you open the car door and trailer side doors to get out). Any guesses to the height from bottom of the door to the ground? regards ab
