  6. I am considering buying a Landrover Freelander... Not as a Lotus replacement you understand but as a part utility vehicle and part promo vehicle for the company so no serious off roading etc. Has anyone got any experience of these things? are there things I should look for? I am told I need the TD4 as its a BMW engine but thats about it... over to you my motoring expert friends
  7. I have just come back on line after a particularly messy stag do which ironicaly included a factory tour at Lotus a few days before all this broke. It strikes me that most of the above posts are indeed speculation and opinion and not based in too many facts. Should we not wait to hear the facts and the outcome before deciding who can throw the first stone (even if, and I want to make this perfectly clear, he did say Jahova)
  8. "I think it looks like a bird who swallowed a plate my lord"

  11. The best story of the year doesn't give the proper praise and credit for this painful but understandable story as told by a loving wife. The pastor asked if anyone in the congregation would like to express praise for answered prayers. Suzie Smith stood and walked to the podium. She said, "I have a praise. Two months ago, my husband, Tom, had a motor-cycle crash and his scrotum was completely crushed. The pain was excruciating and the doctors didn't know if they could help him." You could hear a muffled gasp from the men in the congregation as they imagine the pain that poor Tom must have experienced. "Tom was unable to hold me or the children," she went on, "and every move caused him terrible pain. We prayed as the doctors performed a delicate operation, and it turned out they were able to piece together the crushed remnants of Tom's scrotum, and wrap wire around it to hold it in place." Again, the men in the congregation cringed and squirmed uncomfortably as they imagined the horrible surgery performed on Tom. "Now," she announced in a quivering voice, "thank the Lord, Tom is out of the hospital and the doctors say that with time, his scrotum should recover completely." All the men sighed with unified relief. The pastor rose and tentatively asked if anyone else had something to say. A man stood up and walked slowly to the podium. He said, "I'm Tom Smith." The entire congregation held its breath. "I just want to tell my wife the word is sternum."

  17. If only eh? Isn't it the case that there is no Political capital in this?? It makes you sound better to the electorate if you can say we are introducing a law to correct this wrong that was left by the previous administration. At least it keeps the printers in business with all the re issuing of law books.
  18. A flyer for this event just landed on my desk... http://thesuperweekend.co.uk/home#/THESUPERWEEKEND/ Looks like it might be fun, although there is no representation from Lotus in any form by the look of it. Maybe we could arrange a takeover?? Any thoughts?
