  1. I believe the charge cooler is sandwiched between the blower and intake. I'm curious as how and where the extra radiators are packaged for the charge cooler and how the overall cooling system will function in hot weather conditions.
  2. I believe the 10 HP comes from a combination of induction and exhaust with a slight re-tune of the ECU, as done on the CupR.
  3. I would never wait that long to change Castrol SRF on a track car. Nevertheless, it's the best and what the factory uses on their track dedicated cars, at least that's what my Cup 255, 211 and CupR came with -- I've never had an issue with boiling fluid with SRF.
  4. It's expensive, but I'd recommend Castrol SRF; it has the highest "wet" boiling point of any brake fluid out there.
  5. Saved almost 30 pounds and it sounds great, IMHO ....
  6. I'm sorry and perhaps I'm missing something here .... BUT ..... the dealer explanation makes absolutely no sense to me.
  7. Yes, same on several 2-Elevens. Just get rid of the accusump and install a baffled oil pan.
  8. Just got the Rimstock forged wheels to try ..... appearance and weight look good, made in the UK. Verified --- Front: 15lbs (6.80kg); Rear: 20lbs (9.07kg) Waiting for tires to arrive to give them a track test.
  9. I may have a lead on one of these factory carbon intakes which is for sale ..... complete with an additional HKS unit (housing and filter element -- new in the box). I believe the asking price is 1150 US$$ for everything, plus actual shipping costs. I believe that converts to ~740 Pounds or ~1060 Euros, plus shipping. Anybody interested, let me know.

Whichever brand it is, it is a welcome addition. The stock dash provided little useful info and that which was useful was difficult to discern at a quick glance, which is required when on track. Having programmable alarms and switchable "pages" are great features as well. I had to go with one of these for the CupR ...... many switchable pages that you custom configure....two examples-- first for vital engine parameters and track data; second for general engine info .

Bibs, any chance you can get any photos (or good info) of some the mechanical underpinnings/improvements. I'd be interested in seeing the "packaging" of the charge cooler and the additional (much needed) extra cooling rads, etc. Looks like Lotus added a proper dash ( Cosworth?), and I see they went with fans on the top side of radiator. I hope it's a more efficient radiator than the triple-pass they put on the CupR. Also, I'd be curious as what Lotus did for oil cooling on the 3-Eleven. Any info you can garner for the factory Lotus people in attendance would be much appreciated. I could see one of these in the garage next to the CupR replacing my 2008 2-Eleven, if I can convince the wifey.
  12. 1mm for each .25 degree of additional camber that you require over and above what you can get by taking out all shims (including the ABS bracket).
  13. You will love the dash .... you can configure several pages displaying different levels of data and switch from page to page with a touch of a button. Some examples .... 1) the "in-the-pits" warm-up, check all data page; 2) one of the "on-track" lapping pages, only showing key data and lap timing info
  14. Photo of finished new rear diffuser installed ....
  15. Ok, time for the answer ..... LMS water pump impeller, supposed to eliminate any cavitation and increasing cooling system efficiency. According to factory testing ....10*C reduction in water temps -- We will see??
  16. Getting close to the end of Stage 1 "mods" ..... picking up the car next week. Anyone care to guess what this is and what it's supposed to do ??
  17. Parts returning from "coater" ........ should keep heat in and reduce heat out.
  18. With a little ingenuity, one could improve the "sealing" issue. There are other lightweight roof options (not carbon fibre), but I believe they are all really designed for track use. I guess if you are only a fair weather, open window driving enthusiast, you could get away with one of those roofs.. http://www.lotushardtops.com/lotus-elise-hardtop.html
  19. Difflow .......http://www.difflow.com/evora.html My shop made a CAD drawing modifying the Evora one, so it will fit the V6 Exige with no cutting or drilling, I believe. This diffuser option should be available on their website soon. Mine is the prototype. Thanks, Jonny. The CF roof fits fine but it's really not well suited for a road car. There would be significant sealing gaps with the side windows with the attendant wind noise and moisture entry under wet conditions.
  20. Getting close to the end for stage 1 of modifications. Hope to have shed about 70 pounds in weight by: 1) replacing stock roof with lightweight version -- 20 pounds 2) replacing stock muffler -- 30 pounds, and 3) removing side windows-- 20 pounds. I will know exact weight reduction after I put the car on scales. Obligatory photos --- added bung to oil pan for oil temp data, finished diffuser fitment (now off for powder coating), CF roof .......
  21. No clue? I know that the warning lights are much more "configurable" on the new MXS. Same light has multiple colors and can be programmed to do more than one function.
  22. I'm here to help. Here's a link to some info on the HD camera I have in the V6 CUP ..... http://www.aim-sportline.com/eng/products-car/smartycam-gp-hd/index.htm I believe you are correct ..... complete specs can be found here..... http://www.aim-sportline.com/eng/products-car/smartycam-gp-hd/technical-specifications.htm
  23. Come on Tom, lighter wallet will help your power to weight ratio.

Hey Jonny, Power:weight of the 211 can be improved upon from stock with a little work Weight of this car w/o driver: 720 KG Rear Wheel HP and Torque: 324/204 Dyno Plot:
  25. The AIM setup requires no post processing to do overlays. AIM HD cameras are available and have been for a couple of years The screen shot I posted above was off a non-HD video made by the original AIM SmartyCam purchased back in 2009 and which I still use in my 211. You do not need to display lap times. What overlay you use and what data is shown is determined by the end user when you set up the camera. In fact, you don't need a logger at all to display many channels that are available off the ECU --- you need to merely add an "ECU bridge" to the camera to gain access to parameters like RPM, Throttle, Coolant Temp, Intake Air Temp, MAF, etc. The G meter is built into the camera and speed is based upon GPS. Logger is useful if you want to review and analyze your data post run/track session. Screen shot of SmartyCam HD video showing limited data off ECU (more was available) -- no added sensors.....
