  1. The auto gearbox is absolutely amazing ! By the past, I had an Evora S with the AT, but it was not really nice to use. The up shift was not fast at all, and down shift was even bad. You couldnt go down in first gear in hairpin bend (even if you could go down in first below 50km/h, in real situation, it was impossible to do). Now, it's quite as fast as every double clutch gearbox. I went on track with it, was really nice, the problem was I got a black flag due to the noise (106dB). The only complain with the AT is the lack of a LSD, but I can't feel it on main figures. Another great point for me, regarding the AT is the sound when you up shift, it's like a crackering noise, a big bang at every single change. You cant hear that with the manual ! The only "issue" you can't get the open/close exhaust button fitted like on the manual or previous Evoras. I assume is due to a different ECU mapping, but impossible at this moment. It's really annoying when you go on track, as you'll be black flagged on quite every track day.
  2. You get a TC "button", when Race Mode is activated like the previous Evora TC system. Sport Mode : TC activated +/- 50% Race Mode : TC Off
  3. It seems that all new GT430 from now will be fitted with the exhaust button. Last demo cars have it. The exhaust button has to be activated by removing a "bracket" that keeps it from being operational. You need also an ECU upgrade. Cheers, Michael
  4. It came with the "classic" carbon diff.
  5. Many thx for your comment. Don't worry about this thread, another one arrives soon, really soon
  6. Many thx, this is the Fire Red, as presented on the press GT430 This is the GT430 Sport, without front and rear spoiler, splitter
  7. Mine has been delivered yesterday
  8. What is it for a front end, @Bibs ? Mine is on its way, just need some parts to finish it.
  9. I'm not in a hurry, so I think the car will be dilvered in February. - GT430 Sport - Fire Red - Auto - standard wheels with diamond cut finish (like the GT430 ones)
  10. If you dont go with the wider wheels, you dont have the rear arch extension I kept with the standard wheels as I wont go on track, the car will be more agile on usual roads, wet, most of the time.
  11. Congratz Jonny ! Simply amazing ! Love it
  12. Ahaha ! I'm sure about the time. I lapped Spa in 3'03 in a FunCup with road tyres. 2'54 with an Evora NA (small wheels, Pirelli PZero, manual). 2'41 with a 211 GT4 manual / 048, in 2009 I didn't get back on track with a Lotus since 2012.
  13. I made 2'48 with an Evora S MY12 IPS, Pirelli PZero Corsa. This was during the GT Days 2012, I was there for the belgian dealers (was working for Lotus at the moment). As I'm not a pro driver, was not alone in the car, IPS, I assume that a better driver, alone, could go under 2'46.
  14. If I didn't already order one, I would after your article, simply amazing write up ! Many thanx For sure, it will be super fast in Spa, a regular Evora S is capable of sub 2'46, which is already really fast regarding the HP/weight ratio.
  15. I hesitated with Racing green, ans some reds, and why not, a "dark" blue... So I went to the factory to make my mind. I always like the Evora in red shades. But was not sure at all about the Fire Red, in some pictures, under sunny lightning, it was too red, too "bright", some kind of saturation in some situation. Once in Hethel, I fell in love with the Fire Red, a really deep and rich kind of Bordeaux. But, once on the production line, I saw a MSG (I assume yours?), for a second, I tought to change my choice ! It's simply amazing ! I had to convince myself that I awlays wished a red Evora to not change my mind ! Will be jealous when I'll see it, for sure
  16. I saw this topic, but not yet confirmed my specs I'm in for a GT430 Sport in Fire red, still on the fence regarding the transmission as well as seats. Logical thinking should be manual >>> race seats and auto >>> Sparco seats ? This car won't go on track even if made for it and I plan many "long" trips with it, so, not sure about the transmission. OMG, I go crazy
  17. Many thx It's a lighter blue metallic, a little bit lighter than a laser blue, in my memories Yes, Air Force Blue is the GT430 Sport press car, and yes, it's a solid color. You're right, this is the Battleship Grey, also a solid color.
  18. I would like the look of the press car wheels, gloss black with a silver lip. To be honest, on the factory order form, I asked for the wide ones, but if the standard ones are available in this finish, I will keep them. That's what I wished, gold touches, but still waiting confirmation of what is possible. Brake calipers, rear LOTUS logo, GT430 Sport stickers, black and gold noose badge, roof and access pannel gold stripes.
  19. My main purpose was the body color choice Blue, Red, Green.... There were a lot of GT430 on production lines. I could see them in quite all colors available. Fire Red, Air Force Blue, Metallic Blue, Essex Blue, the new "light" Metallic Blue, Motorsport Green, Aspen White, Metallic Black, GP scheme, Dark Grey Metallic, Metallic Grey. .. I've seen old colors like the Nautilus Blue, even a Metallic Purple like the already seen Sport 410 (not my cup of tea). Battleship grey is also amazing, as a solid dark grey color (aka McLaren). Mine will be 2+0 GT430 Sport, Fire Red, Alcantara Pack, Piano Black Interior Pack, Gold & Red Stitching, Infotainement, Subwoofer, AirCo, Insulation Pack, "diamond cut" like 10.5 wheels, Fire Red stripes on roof and access panel, black engine cover. Still on the fence regarding the transmission and seats. I was told at the factory that the auto gearbox will have a lower power and torque, but don't have the figures.
  20. I was there to confirm my GT430 Sport spec. There were a "lot of" GT430 on the production line, so I could see them in quite every available color. Air Force Blue, Fire Red, Motorsport green, the new "clear" blue metallic, Aspen White, Metallic Black, GP "like" Edition, even a purple one (like the seen 410), Essex Blue, Nautilus Blue, Metallic Grey, the new dark grey, and also the Battleship Grey...
  21. I was at the factory yesterday, there were ppl from EVO for a review and track test, should arrive soon
  22. I got the confirmation from the factory. Here is a copy/paste from an email. I dont say any name, but this person knows exactly. " I assume standard seats are the Sport410 ones? – yes, correct 2) Standard wheels are the same as Sport410? Available is satin black at no cost? – correct 3) Technically, the auto gearbox is the same as Evora400/Sport410? – yes, correct 4) LSD fitted even with auto gearbox? – No, only the manual has LSD
  23. I ordered a GT430 Sport, there is NO LSD for automatic gearbox, only for the manual. If you check the 400 tech list, there is also a LSD fitted as standard but not with auto gearbox. It's the same gearbox as the 400/410, there is no LSD.
  24. There is NO limited slip differential with the automatic gearbox. LSD is only for manual gearbox.
