I did wonder whether he was doing it for a joke but, if so, he isn't doing it very well as he just repeats himself.

He didn't like it, then. Sounds like the suspension needs rebushing.

This totally pisses me off.
Yes, the noise can be a tad irksome, but anyone who has ever stayed in a central London hotel will know that bloody motorbikes are the loudest at all times of the day. And what about the incessant noise of the blue services sirens.
So what pisses me off is why focus on this? Why not focus on:
1. people illegally using e-scooters zooming all over the pavements at upto 30 mph, sometimes higher
2. people riding e-bikes and scooters, often in packs, all over the road, pavements, on wrong sides, pulling wheelies all over the place etc.
3. Uninsured and unlicensed drivers putting people and their lives and livelihoods at risk
4. Gangs running amok in shops blatantly shoplifting by the arm full
etc.
I get it the noise can be a nuisance, but compared to the other stuff, it's nothing. We're focusing on the wrong stuff in my very humble opinion, and need to start getting really tough on the stuff that matters the most.
But these all require police officers on location while these noise enforcement cameras do their job automatically without human effort.

I've heard his seals are excellent. I didn't know he was selling a batch right now.
-
Did these find a home? Unfortunately I don't have a garage or any outbuildings so can't help.
-
Is that Iain Ogilvie's Elise they refer to in the article?
-
Where did you get the roof seals from?

Why was it at Rushden? Seems unconnected to Lotus.

Strange that the flames are coming out of the cockpit rather than the engine bay.

This was my email from Lotus
Trevor Knowles,
As one of our most valued customers, I am delighted to offer you and a guest an invitation to our 75th Year Anniversary Events taking place between 22nd - 25th November 2023.
When you arrive at your nearest Lotus Agent you’ll be greeted by a dedicated member of the team who will be able to discuss your requirements in depth and present to you the Lotus ELETRE – our all electric hyper SUV and the Lotus EMIRA – our latest sports car, a-new-icon.
During this four day event you will have access to the finest choice of Lotus ELETRE and EMIRA models, so this is the perfect time to purchase a new Lotus.
In order to join us at our 75th Anniversary Event, please confirm your attendance by clicking the button below
It seems that I,too, am a most valued customer. I did but something during one of their parts sales 15 or so years ago. I didn't realise they were so grateful for it.

It's all a fix and anyone in the know would never use an Auction. It's where traders, like me, go to buy nice cars and make a stonking profit!
I'm confused. Should people use auctions and get bargains of not?

May be worth asking on Lotuselan.net

Bloody hell, Barry. I have only recently stumbled upon this thread as I'm not such an active member as I once was but, my goodness, you and your kids have been through the mill. I hadn't realised before that your marriage was in such trouble or that your ex-wife was an alcoholic. I don't know how you've managed to get through this without blowing your top at least half a dozen times but credit to you for taking the high road and keeping calm as it makes your position so much stronger. Well done.
I'm glad to see that things are getting easier and, hopefully, the end will soon be in sight but I'm afraid that, like World War One, it won't be over by Christmas but the New Year should see it done.
Looks like you've got great kids and having found a new partner must have been a big help so good luck and keep going.
One thing I need to know. Do you have a punch bag in the garage for those times when you just need to vent? Otherwise, how have you managed it without exploding?

I like the idea of receiving a Lotus 11 as a result of a divorce settlement

I thought I saw that they couldn't get hold of an N/A. Looking forwards to reading the article.
-
So they are planning to float Lotus Technology (the China-based part making the electric vehicles released so far) but not the Hethel-based company just yet?
-
It's interesting that, in the original article, the parish council chairman does admit that it could be yobbos unconnected to the factory but assumed it's factory workers.

Someone posted this on FB, a colourised version of the pic. Taken in Hornsey in 1958 next to Stan Chapman's pub, in front of the station platforms.
Of these people, only Mike Costin is still alive. (I believe he was flying his glider this weekend. You can't keep a good man down.)

Spotted this taking part in the competition. Looked a bit more sophisticated than some of the competition. It had brakes, for example.

Why do people do this? Maybe a fault with it led to it being parked up.
