I bought the last one of these many years ago from Lotus but only wore it twice, so it is as new, shiny, and boxed. There are none for sale on the Internet but the last one on eBay in 2014 went for £213 so I am open to offers. The post Lotus 340 R Heated Jacket M appeared first on lotusforsale.com. A few years back we saved the Esprit VARI moulds from the skip. We also saved the 340r stuff too and unfortunately it's long term storage is up. Would anyone with space be interested in looking after these on behalf of current/future owners? They may never be of use, or they may save cars from being written off in the future as the body and other parts can be recreated to the original spec. It's about enough kit to fill a single car parking space. Please let me know, thanks

Junks is arranging a batch of windscreens for 340R (no longer available from Lotus and unique to 340R, size different to Elise and heated). This will be the third batch (2007 and 2012). Price is circa £450, which is a bargain. Info on Facebook and SELOC. The more orders, the lower the unit cost. Justin

Morning all! Received my new (to me) 340R last night, and very excited! The car was owned by one private owner from new, and has done just under 8.5k miles. The previous owner was actually working with the Lotus management team at the time the 340R was being designed and produced, so the car was actually purchased directly from the factory, and has the 190hp upgrade. Very happy/excited about the new toy and looking forward to getting to know it. The car is in lovey condition but having Have started to draw up a list of things that I’d like to do, but lucky to have something in great condition as a starting point. Some initial pictures……

Hello There was some different types of covers for the Lotus 340R , I would especially be interested in the one that is just make to cover the cabin but not the windscreen and that you could partially unzip to drive the car with it over the passenger side. Does anyone have one for sale or know where to find one or know any company that makes them ? I would also be interested in a shower cap that cover the windshield Thanks

Kevin is having rear mudguard brackets made for the 340R. They are being made out of Nirosta (sp) steel which is rust proof (for those who go out in the wet!!) and extremely tough. They will also be lighter than the Lotus OEM ones. Price circa £60 for the pair. PM if you are interested. Justin

I'm thinking of having these fitted to my R. I spoke to Dave Andrews of DVA Power, who seems to be a recognised expert on set up. He can't fit the verniers as he has no facilities to take the body off. Dave is an engine guy not a workshop for servicing cars. Has anyone done this to VHPD engine and who did you use? Hangar111 perhaps? Justin

Can the interior trim be easily refreshed? Went to see a car today that had badly scuffed/chipped soft touch trim and some bubbling (as per the pics below). Better pic of the bubbling

Morning all! I’ve posted a similar thread on SELOC but repeating here for completeness. I almost bought a 3-Eleven earlier this week but unfortunately the purchase fell through. Got me thinking about other special Lotus models and I’m keen to find a 340R. Do they come up for sale often ? Am I mad to think a nice 1 or 2 owner example is out there wanting a new home ? They look to be amazing fun, and I really want something visceral and raw, that is different to more mainstream cars. Just thought I’d check in case anyone is in touch with one! I’ve seen the CatC example on Autotrader which seems to be up for stupid money considering it’s history. B&a…

For those after the best 340R on the market I see Sizona (simon) has his car at B&C for sale and a link is in the for sale section. I've seen the car and it's as clean as you're going to get with minimal miles. Wish i had room for it myself as would be a collectors car for sure, although I personally would have to drive it, alot :-) http://www.lotusforsale.com/ads/lotus-340r-for-sale/ Trevor.

May/June 2021 - Issue 19 - performancepublishing.co.uk For anyone who may wish to buy a copy. Not my 340R, it belongs to one of the 340R gang who (used to) meet up every now and then. Hopefully another gathering soon. Justin

Hi everyone, I've got a set of, completely brand new, never used, genuine headlights for the 340r and I'm looking to sell them. I've had a look online and cant even get an idea of what these are worth. I was just wondering if any of you on here would be able to help me out by telling me what sort of price range these usually go for? Any help is much appreciated.

There is talk of a 20th anniversary mini-bash at Hethel to celebrate the first (and only) production year of the 340R. No date yet, perhaps August or September 2020. Some other social media platform has more info, I will update here as and when. Justin

Just bought this 1 sheet, 2 sided A4 sales leaflet from 1999 or early 2000 for the 340R, produced by Bell and Colvill. I had not seen it before. B&C probably have a box load stashed somewhere...…….but I am happy to add it to my small pile of 340R memorabilia.

Question One: how much did the 340R cost me in May 2000 (new, Haydon Cars Salisbury). Question Two: What is my total maintenance spend (NOT including purchase of car) in those 19 years. 40,700 miles. Road use with about 20 track days (pathetic, I know). No accidents or paint or repairs or major mechanical work. Still on original Koni shocks. One new clutch. Spend does NOT include road fund licence (tax disc) or petrol or insurance. It does include top-up oil, tyres, main dealer or factory servicing at correct intervals. Don't phone, it is just for fun, there is no prize. Justin

The 340r body tools are no longer required by Lotus, they've not sold any shells for a long time so they've been offered to us for future use. As per the Esprit tools that TLF now are custodians of, these will need picking up and storing. Is anyone interested, can anyone assist? The other option is a skip.

I've added the 340r to The Lotus Register, any volunteers to help with content? https://www.lotusregister.com/elise/340r
