  1. I'm the one that originally wrote that above, and I believe I was the first to find www.fiveomotorsport.com as a good source for the Bosch Injectors. I use them in my Esprit SE and I haven't heard a single complaint from anyone else that has used them or bought them from Five-O. And they are much cheaper than equivalent injectors from RC.
  2. There was a 94S4 made in Vulcan Grey. I heard it is owned by the guy that runs the NOPI nationals, and he is from Atlanta Georgia...
  3. Actually, I don't know if I would call Roland's F40 a replica... It is an F40... Just not built all at the same time. The chassis, engine, transmission, suspension components, brakes, and body are all Ferrari F40. But it was assembled from many cars, and modified to be similar to a F40LM race car. Since there were only 13 F40LM's made, those are rare. This is trying to be an LM, and it isn't. more pics of the F40LM "replica" http://www.lotuscolorado.com/vulcangrey/ga...ond-creek-track http://www.lotuscolorado.com/vulcangrey/gallery/ppir?page=1
  4. Its actually based off a Ford of Europe colour from the 50's. Though I think Lotus added mettalic flakes to it. I really like the color, and get compliments all the time. I have only found 5 Vulcan Grey Esprits in the world. 89SE in Tokyo, 90SE in the Netherlands, 94S4 in Atlanta, my 89SE in Colorado, and the 88 in Scotland was repainted to an Audi grey.
  5. Best Color for an Esprit.... Vulcan Grey! If I park my car next to a white Esprt X180-R (one of the best and rarest Esprits IMO) People at car shows don't even notice the white car... It even looks good dirty. I've gone 4months without washing it and people ask me if its a new paintjob. It was in 1989!
  6. I was 24 when I bought my SE. I've had it for 5 years now. Got a loan, put $3,000 down, and it's paid off now. Next is an Exige, I'll wait till they depreciate, no need to buy a new car and take that hit. I saved $68,000 by buying my car when it was 11 years old. Actually it sat on a lot till '92, so it was only 8 years old...
  7. The original AWI's that had a casting defect were all recalled. The new AWI's seem to be pretty strong.
  8. On the 89+ -94 S4s Esprit 4cyl cars You have to remove the manifold before removing the head. Recommended repairs depends on the milage. Usually, check the valves and seats, replace the gasket, check the cylinder walls. When the head is off, DO NOT turn the crank without cylinder liner clamps!!!! Otherwise the liners will be disturbed and will probably leak later. When putting it all back together, put on a new timing belt, and check the valve clearances and compression.
  9. There should be brackets that bolt into little square blocks, these keep the door from opening too far. Your bolts might have broken, and the brackets are loose, which would explain the rattle. Travis Vulcan Grey 89SE http://www.lotuscolorado.com/vulcangrey/
  10. The '93 Esprit has a mechanical vacuum pump on the front of the engine. It shares a belt with the water pump. If your pump is dead, or you have a large vacuum leak, your brakes should be pretty firm, as the vacuum pump is what provides the power for the power brakes. There is a small Tee under the car, right where all the pipes go into the chassis in the rear, that Tee is where the vacuum controls for the dash get their vacuum, as well as the vacuum for the EBP valve and throttle jack.. Then there is another Tee that splits around the right hand side fuel filler neck, that goes to the vacuum controls in the dash. Travis Vulcan Grey 89SE http://www.lotuscolorado.com/vulcangrey/
