Odd drivers window issue

Hi chaps

Ive had a look through some previous drivers window issues but I can't find one like mine.

I open the drivers door and the window doesn't instantly drop.

It does however drop and raise a couple of times while the door is open, but always ends up... up!

It's almost like its confused.

Ive been through the reset process but this hasn't helped.

Any ideas?

I suspect that your window regulator is goosed, I’m afraid. Here are other examples of weird window behaviour:

Does the dash mimic show that the door is open? I had similar window behaviour and it was the door latch. The car thought the door was still shut.

A good squirt of WD40 and operating the latch with a screwdriver a few times cured the problem. I could also make it do the strange window jumping behaviour by closing the latch slowly, it reached a certain point and would go crazy.

A cheep fix and much better than hundreds for a window regulator, good luck.

Unfortunately its not. I have however tracked down a used regulator unit at a very reasonable price.
