Hey, new to the forum. For anyone on the RMS forum, I'm christii. I'm hopefully picking up my first Lotus on Monday.

I waved to a lovely Orange Exige outside Holywood today. Does it belong to anyone here?

Which Lotus model are you getting?

I saw the orange Exige myself on Saturday past when returning from watching the Cultra hillclimb event. I don't know who the owner is and don't think it's anyone currently registered on the NI Group on TLF. 

Do please post some pics of your new car when you pick it up and I will also be posting about our next NI meet up soon - likely to be the Supercar Sunday event at the end of July.

Hey Ryan,

6 months ago I bought myself a new Morgan Super 3. A bit random I know. Unfortunately I just haven't gelled with it. So I now plan to trade it in for a Lotus Elise 240 Final Edition. Lotus Central in Nottingham are soon to be a Morgan Dealership as well as Lotus, so they are keen to part ex with the Super 3. 

All being well, I plan to drive the Morgan over on the Liverpool ferry Sunday night. Then come home via Stranraer.

Really looking forward to the drive home in the Lotus. I plan to avoid motorways the whole way and go through the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales and the North Pennies.

There's an RMS meet this Sunday morning at Junction One if anyone fancies it? I'll be taking the Morgan, maybe see you there.

Health to driver the new Elise and I hope you have a super trip home.  I bought my Exige at Bell & Colvill in Guildford so also had a long drive home (in my case via Snowdonia, Holyhead and Dublin.)

Unfortunately I can't make it to the RMS event this Sunday but I hope there is a good turnout.

I had the annual service on the GT430 done by Hurst’s this morning with 6000 miles on the clock. They apparently now have the all important factory diagnostics software & Lotus trained technicians. Full check over & an oil/filter change came in at £450; half the bill being labour. It’s the Bentley/Aston part of Hurst’s that are looking after Lotus sales and servicing, with the Bentley tech guys looking after Lotus support.  (Bit of a contrast there in vehicle type, but they are very keen). No Lotus branding yet on invoices etc, but a Lotus hologram type sticker on the service book. Overall a very positive, customer friendly experience with the sales & tech staff. I’ll happily go back, although they may be relatively expensive for older cars that are out of factory warranty.

Anyone a member of the Lotus Drivers Club? 

I just joined up as I was interested in attending the Isle of Mann festival of motoring. The club have a large group that is attending. Unfortunately it turns out the IOM ferry from Belfast stops at the end of August so it’s not worth the extra trip to Liverpool to get there.

Hi Ryan, I've just signed up to this forum so please add me to your list.  I've been a life long Lotus fan since the early 70s watching Emerson Fittipaldi win the F1 championship in a type 72 in JPS livery.  Unfortunately I was not in a position to acquire a Lotus until 2018 when I was able to purchased a 2015 Elise 1.6.  I take part in car runs out of Ballymena a few times each year and have been a member of SELOC for 5 years, but I've always wanted to join a dedicated Lotus club in Northern Ireland.  I've just discovered this group existence and would like to take part in your meet-ups, time permitting.

I called in with hursts today as the tyre pressure was constantly reducing on one wheel, and it is in for a service warranty work next week. They couldn’t have been more helpful . The chap in service, Matthew actually knew why my car was in next week and got the tyre sorted today while I was there.   Very knowledgeable about the marque and inspired confidence. 👍🏻
